Ahh, Construction Paper. In school I used to take more than I needed to take home.

another thing, what was that blue/green gum that teachers used to post papers, etc on the boards... I used to take those too.

Ooh, sticky tack! I used to peel it off of the walls and make little people with it.

I always liked the smell of opening a new pack of construction paper. Strange? Yes.

I still have construction paper at home. And crayons. And many other various arts-and-crafts implements.

All of my art supplies are in a closet downstairs. I don't think my parents or I have the heart to throw any of them away.

Undiscovered, I was thinking the same thing. re: Anyone Old Enough To Remember ...?t

I had a chemistry set. I don't think I ever did much with it other than stare at the pretty crystalline chemicals.

I remember having a make-your-own-perfume chemistry set...thing. I guess I was a girly nerd?

There's still a box somewhere with assorted arts & crafts supplies, including construction paper.

Sticky tack is a college student's best friend - I'm not supposed to make holes in the wall of my dorm room, so I use it to hang up all of the posters I'm decorating with instead of sticking thumbtacks in.

Sticky tack does not work for me AT ALL. Especially for heavy things. But, even a piece of paper falls off the wall soon after I "sticky tack" it up.

I don't think construction paper is old school at all; It is used daily. I have a huge stack of it- I use it for the backround of my scrapbook.

I did have to use an entire package of sticky-tack to get one of my larger posters to stick to the wall, but it generally works for me as long as the wall in question isn't directly above the heating vents, because the heat dries out the sticky-tack.

Who remembers getting handouts in school printed on ditto paper? We used to sniff the fumes from the ink that was used. Gave a whole new meaning to higher education.
