My brother is going to Philly next month and wondered if there was anything going on that he should see...I thought I would ask here just in case anyone knows of anything special...

Thanks in advance...

PEACE.

Is Dreamgirls still playing?

There's also the historic stuff: liberty bell, indepence hall, etc.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

We know that, he was thinking of cultural things that he can't see in Branson (where he lives.)

I always loved the Rodin Museum...it has the largest collection of his works outside of the Rodin Museum in Paris. re: Anyone here from Philly?

There's a special Ben Franklin exhibition going on at the Consitution Center. I think it's still there for another month or so. I never made it when I was there, but I hear it's good if you're into the period.

I think the flower show is about to end, but there's always something at the Kimmel Center. Sorry I'm being so unspecific; I haven't been to Philly in a couple of weeks and won't have time to go again for a while. There are a ton of Ben Franklin things going on this year for his 300th birthday.

I hear Body Worlds is cool. It's an exhibit of dead people's body parts. Sounds interesting.

Liotte, Rodin is not related to Maltise. Rodin is related to Rodan, star of Japanese monster movies.

There is the Eastern Penitentiary that you can tour, or the Art museum, and Edgar Allen Poe's house.

I would HIGHLY recommend the BodyWorlds exhibit at Franklin Institute. If he goes, hes gotta walk through the human heart too!! Dreamgirls closed a couple of weeks ago. A night out in Olde City is always fun. I'll look around and see what's going on in a few weeks and let you know!!

Sponsor me as I walk the Philadelphia AIDS Walk - Sunday, October 16, 2011. Many of our friends, family and neighbors are in desperate need of health care services and other life-saving programs, but with cutbacks in government dollars , these programs are often under-funded. Now, more than ever, your donations are needed to support organizations providing HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention education, counseling and testing and care services for people living with HIV/AIDS. http://www.aidswalkphilly.org/users/index.php/profile/detail/186643

I wouldn't really recommend the Eastern State Penitentiary. While it's interesting, I think there are better things you can do.

I know that a new play will be playing at the Walnut Street Theatre, called "trying."

This has pretty much all there is to do in Philly.

Sueleen, is your brother gay? Is he cute? Is he attracted to men who eat them for lunch and spit them out? I'd love to show him my city.
