My brother is going to Philly next month and wondered if there was anything going on that he should see...I thought I would ask here just in case anyone knows of anything special...
Thanks in advance...

Is Dreamgirls still playing?
There's also the historic stuff: liberty bell, indepence hall, etc.

I always loved the Rodin Museum...it has the largest collection of his works outside of the Rodin Museum in Paris.

Posted: 3/12/06 at 1:01pmThere's a special Ben Franklin exhibition going on at the Consitution Center. I think it's still there for another month or so. I never made it when I was there, but I hear it's good if you're into the period.

Posted: 3/12/06 at 6:42pmI think the flower show is about to end, but there's always something at the Kimmel Center. Sorry I'm being so unspecific; I haven't been to Philly in a couple of weeks and won't have time to go again for a while. There are a ton of Ben Franklin things going on this year for his 300th birthday.

I hear Body Worlds is cool. It's an exhibit of dead people's body parts. Sounds interesting.

Posted: 3/12/06 at 10:38pmThere is the Eastern Penitentiary that you can tour, or the Art museum, and Edgar Allen Poe's house.

Posted: 3/12/06 at 10:39pmI would HIGHLY recommend the BodyWorlds exhibit at Franklin Institute. If he goes, hes gotta walk through the human heart too!! Dreamgirls closed a couple of weeks ago. A night out in Olde City is always fun. I'll look around and see what's going on in a few weeks and let you know!!

I wouldn't really recommend the Eastern State Penitentiary. While it's interesting, I think there are better things you can do.
I know that a new play will be playing at the Walnut Street Theatre, called "trying."
This has pretty much all there is to do in Philly.
