I tried this on the student board and was promptly ignored, so I'm trying again here.
I'm currently applying to schools for my Ph.D. in English and have been told to look at Fordham. Besides what is on their website, I really know nothing about this school. Anyone go there or have any thoughts about it?
Would you be going to the Lincoln Center campus or the BX?
The Rose Hill campus in the Bronx is a beautiful campus, although the surrending neighborhood is not so great. It's a Jesuit school, so the level of teaching is pretty good.

The Bronx, which is making my husband and family a little nervous.
my nephew graduated from Fordham a few years back, and loved it....that is all I know.
Fordham's Ph.D. program in English is highly regarded in the teaching community.
I went to Fordham, Rose Hill, and it is a fine, if somewhat crowded, campus in the Bronx and near a MetroNorth stop to Grand Central.
The school pops up from time to time in films, a recent one being KINSEY with Liam Neeson, and another being THE VERDICT with Paul Newman.
