I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there who is looking forward to the upcoming season at The Met. After hearing about how the season opened up, I am wondering what the reaction to some of the new productions will be.
However, I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow night when I will be seeing my first opera of the season. Despite the reaction of what went on the other night, Taymore's Magic Flute, which I am seeing, is one that has been new but popular considering the fact that they have seemed to rotate each season between the abridged version and the full length one. The one I am seeing tomorrow is the full length one.

After last night, all bets are off. I really don't want to think about how The House of the Dead is going to be received.
Tales of Hoffman and Damnation de Faust are the two I'm looking forward to the most.

In terms of the new productions I'm most excited about Hoffman and Hamlet.
I also want to see Aida, Flute, Barbiere, and Lulu.
