I will be interested to hear how much better the camera really is. That is my one complaint with the 4s. The pics are sometimes fuzzy.

Interestingly enough, Verizon built their 4G LTE off of bandwidth bought from the FCC. So, when the FCC found out that Verizon was intentionally putting in a road block and not allowing tethering, or personal hotspot apps to show up for Verizon phones, they got upset because the FCC felt that users who are paying to use bandwidth already should be able to use it freely and paying for the use of the personal hotspot was not needed and was only done out of financial greed on the part of Verizon. I don't believe that this meant anything to any of the other companies because they built their LTE coverage off their own bandwidth.

I have a shared data plan with my mom. Until last year, we were on the same account but each line had its own individual data package. When she got her Iphone 5 we realized that although I was going to use the brunt of the data, she was going to use some of it so we pulled it in together. The shared data plan on Verizon is one of the planes where the personal hotspot is included as a result of the FCC ruling. I was interested in finding out what would have happened to my Iphone after the ruling came out and the changes were made, but I never go to since I now had shared data.

As for the new IOS. I am weary. I love apple, but they are starting to piss me off. I did get a new Iphone 5 awhile back because I was due for an upgrade and my Iphone4 was dying on me. It took me awhile to warm up to the 5 and I don't like the fact that I needed to shell out 80 bucks for a new Ihome with the lighting charger. Now, I know that they have adaptors but I have read that they work for some devices and not others. Some docks they play music on and others they don't play music but just charge the battery, it's annoying.

Most of the US carriers also charge an add'l monthly fee if you use your smartphone to access your employer's corporate network. Even though a colleague and I drafted our employer's bring-your-own-device(BYOD) policy, we both took a pass on signing up after learning that AT&T would bill us an extra $30 a month to access boring work-related email on our personal phones.

It's really ridiculous how they stick it to you. I LOVE being able to use my phone as a wifi hotspot. Any time the net goes down or when I was in the hospital and wanted my laptop, I was covered.

It's not a gaudy shiny gold. It's quite subdued and elegant. There were pictures of a 24K gold plated phone circulating around. Now that was pretentious.
