Are Kerry/Edwards signs illegal in Texas?

Posted: 9/12/04 at 6:42pmI hate to state the obvious, but thank you, Plum, for your measured -- indeed, sane -- comments on "the Middle East..." Since 9/11/01, I've seen this true cradle of civilization (ours, too everyone--don't forget that) referred to as hell on earth, and across the cyberworld, the place discussed as the one we should just "nuke." But the easy, misuse of semantics to enhance nationalistic hubris is just illustrative of the overall moral debacle. I.e. Our arrogance about our "humanity" and their "evil." How precious we view our pain, our suffering, our lives, and as Plum points out, how faceless and expendable are "theirs."

Posted: 9/12/04 at 6:50pmI was sane? I thought that was a bit of a temper tantrum, though I did keep out the worst of what I had to say. Thanks, Auggie.

Posted: 9/12/04 at 7:16pmI know this is yet another late response from me, but...I am all for Kerry winning and I too live in Texas. I've gotten in an argument or two with my friends but in the end i just let them drop, there is no point whatsoever in being immature about this situation.

I think Gore's work may be very helpful in a political climate where many people want that fire. It's possibly a great contrast to Kerry's not being "unleashed".
