I hate shorts.... I think I own 2 pairs and they're both biking shorts.
I only wear skirts and skorts during the summer, in addition to my jeans

What the heck is a Manpri? This is a foreign term here in the suburbs...

Im guessing they're those ridiculously long shorts that some guys wear....
They're too long to really be shorts but not long enough to be pants and they just look stupid

Manpris = Man + Capris
Manpris and gauchos should be outlawed. Gauchos are this season's Uggs. I'm sure they're comfortable, but they look unbelievably silly. When I see them, I can't help but laugh. Manpris aren't as bad, but every time I see them, I feel like I should be drinking a Cosmo and listening to Donna Summer. They are THAT gay.
Manpris are v.v.g-a-y. Especially when paired with delicate mandals and the gayest successory of all, the wrist cuff.
Personally, I can't imagine wearing long pants in this ungodly heat - NYC in summertime is one hellishly hot place to be - wear your dress pants to work and slip into shorts as soon as you're off duty! Those capri and manpri things are just the most ridiculous things on a guy (or gal for that matter)...they look like clown pants.

Wristcuff: noun. Most often seen as accessory on gay males, under age 40, with severely bad taste. Often found in Chelsea, specifically, Splash, g, XL. Sometimes seen in conjunction with blonde highlights.
Cheno - you're on a roll today! Very funny!
redhot- don't get me started on fashion!
You know, I can handle Manrpis with sandals and a wrist cuff. I just assume they are on their way to a circuit party or a Tea Dance. But DO NOT WEAR FLIP-FLOPS WITH JEANS OR *GASP* SLACKS! That is just tacky.
Gauchos (sp?) are making a big time return here in Chicago. My roommate wears them all the time. I can't handle them...they remind me of Chrissy Snow.
Plus, I'm short and a size 10...they would ridiculous on me.

I just bought a few shorts at Hollister. And I love my trucker hat. I have horrible hair, so I have to cover it up someway.
Nooooooo! Not the trucker hat, please!
Please please please tell me that you do not live in Williamsburgh, Brooklyn!
Look at your pretty avatar. Can't Hayden convince you to go au natural?

No, I live in California, Bay area.
And I changed my avatar. I'll be Andrea's sex slave if me wanted me to.
(On a side note, I've yet to find a suitable stylist. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.)
I don't care for the trucker hats either. And in general, I don't like men wearing flip flops, especially with pants or slacks! What's with magazines now showing men in suits (with ties) and wearing flip flops???
I finally found a couple pairs of shorts at Filene's, I don't like them much but they fit and they'll make do for the rest of the summer.
*hands liotte a geisha fan* Make like Karl Lagerfeld and cool thyself! We know your stance on flip-flops!
Another pet peeve- women who walk around with severely chipped manicures/pedicures.

It's comfortable. I went to prom wearing a tux and black leather flops. I could actually dance w/o my feet feeling like they're going to fall off.
Have you ever tried walking in those damn shoes? Probably not. And I'd hate to wear heels.
The nails don't bug me that much. Much more of the clothes...
I was in Times Square this afternoon and people just dress so weird.
People dress weird in Times Sq. because they're tourists.
Besides, there's no need for couture when dinner is at Red Lobster or Olive Garden.
Nothing says classy cocktail like a Lobsterita.

Shorts are more in than they ever have been. This year was the first time ever that they were featured in Vogue. The problem is stores are switching to their fall line. The good news is you can probably find a lot of shorts on sale if you look at sale and clearance racks at larger stores.
