I am keeping her in my thoughts. Our local news said there was an announcement about her health but, of course, we have to wait for the broadcast.

Cancer does suck. I guess the older we get, the better the chance of it effecting us. It seems that not a day goes by that you don't hear of someone battling it, near to you or otherwise. It's overwhelming. My prayers go our to her and those we all love who are fighting. I am not the world's biggest Aretha fan, but my wife adores her. I love her spunk. lol

JG2, my mom died of cancer when I was 10, I have known for a very long, long time just how much cancer sucks.

My mother died of pancreatic cancer & one sister died of lung cancer which had spread to the brain. My wife is a thyroid cancer survivor & I got diagnosed with both bladder & prostate cancer both in the very early stage of each.

Yeah I do know cancer & I can attest is sucks a big one.

I saw a report that said she could be back onstage by spring.
