Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson Reportedly Engaged

Saw today on twitter that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are reportedly engaged after a few weeks of dating, at least publicly. As a fan of both people, I'm happy for them and trust them to make whatever decisions they feel are right for them, but I know this has been a subject of much debate on the interwebs recently. Anyone else have any thoughts?

She has a new cd coming out next month.  The cynic in me, says it's to get her name in the news.  I like her new song and will buy the new cd.  If she wants to get engaged to someone after dating them for a few weeks, that probably explains why Frankie is as dopey as he is.

I don't know them personally, but I do know that it takes about 2 years of dating before you really know if your personalities match in a relationship. Not after 1 month.

People are crazy. It doesn't matter their income. They're still crazy. If they want to, then go for it. I don't care. I'm gay, ha. If straight people want to **** up marriage, that's on them. But Ariana Grande is a cute, I'm surprised she went with Pete. But good for him.

Um, it’s not like he’s a drug addict or an alcoholic. He smokes pot...... He has Crohn’s disease and Marijuana is one of the best medications for that. (My sister, also has Crohn’s and Marijuana and CBD is one of the only things that keeps her in remission). And let’s face it Ariana probably smokes with him. 

 

Unless I’m mistaken and he indeed did have an addiction, I apologize, but when he had mentioned he had been “sober” it was taken out of context and he meant he was sober from smoking pot because he thought his issues were from that, but turns out he was diagnosed bipolar. He talked about it on a podcast I listen to, WTF with Marc Maron.

The wording of this article makes it sound like he did have an addiction:

I like Pete, don't know so much about Ariana, but I wish them both all the best - even reformed drug additcts deserve happiness, so I'm don't know why you guys give it any bearing on their relationship status!

She had her birthday at my work the other night and they were both in the corner making out all night. So... I guess that's something? They were doing karaoke and she sounded amazing. They were both very chill.

Grande and Davidson called it quits on their engagement.  I could have said splitsville, but not sure if the relationship is over.  Alas the engagement is as these posters predicted.
