Hi all! Just back from a 3-Day suspension from BWW. I was banned for posting what were deemed to be "inappropriate" photos in the Fan Photos area. (Although, not surprisingly, they were no more provocative than photos posted by other members that have been allowed to remain.) It’s all part of a personal witch-hunt being conducted by one power-drunk BWW busybody, with administrative privileges, intent on besmirching my good name. It’s unfortunate we live in a world where the same rules don’t apply to everyone, and people with the intelligence of lint are permitted to hold positions of authority, which they blatantly and continually abuse. But alas, as goes the world, so goes BWW. Regardless, I’m here to tell you that, like Martha, I found the entire experience to be life altering and life affirming. Not to mention quite liberating. You see, I’ve never been banned, booted, or bounced from anywhere in my life. I’ve never felt so deliciously naughty! In any event, my time away from BWW was productive and well spent. It afforded me the opportunity to visit other sites that I’ve been ignoring of late, make a few long overdue phone calls, and get some things done that I’ve been putting off doing. And of course, I’ve been lurking, reading your posts, and generally keeping abreast of things here. As the saying goes, "absence makes the heart grow fonder". And as such, it’s good to be back, although, I never really went away. And never really will.

Thanks Cats. I appreciate the welcome, as well as the sentiment.

It always amuses me when someone assumes that José has supreme control over everything that happens on the board, or that he is responsible for every deletion or suspension...

For as many atrocities as I attribute to George Bush, I was even offended when people would refer to *him* as Hitler. But José? C'mon...where is your perspective? That was just another juvenile tantrum posted by someone who seems to have no clue about the scale of the very real horrors that Hitler visited upon millions.

I find it interesting that pictures of shirtless men are deleted within minutes yet posts containing the word FUC* remain for quite a long time...

And just for record, I have no recollection of anyone posting a photo of Hitler and suggesting that it was Jose'. (It certainly wasn't me.) Please provide me with that link. As for the individual responsible for my being banned, I just might have a little more insight into that than you do, iflit. And I assure you, no insult to Rob and/or Criag was intended.

By the way, I never mentioned Jose' in my initial post. Funny though, how he's the first "power-drunk" BWW member who comes to most people's mind.

As a quick clarification to iflitifloat's:

Only Craig and myself have the technical ability to suspend someone, and no one gets suspended without my approval. It's something I personally hate to do, but while BroadwayWorld is one of two full-time projects I'm currently devoting my life too, I'd rather spend it on more fruitful things than continual warnings, and deletions of inappropriate stuff.
Everyone knows what the rules are here, and the sort of things that will be removed from the site, so continual posting of them is simply silly. Follow the few simple board rules we've got, keep the dirty pics to your private messaging/emails/etc. and we'll all live happily ever after.

Regarding the photo it was more along the lines of, and I'm certain CATS can verify when he comes back on, someone said he had a photo of José since he at one time used it as an avatar. But the photo he posted wasn't of José.
And how does one besmirch the name of an anonymous message board member? I mean, unless CurtainUp2 is actually your name.
