Anyone have a particular method? I want to try something but there is so much out there.
I tried the Crest White Strips a few years ago when they first came out. My teeth started looking whiter, but it felt like it was weakening the enamel on my teeth so I stopped using it.
We use the Listerine Whitening Mouth Wash and it's cool. Nothing dramatically different, but it does help fight daily stains (smoking, coffee, etc.) from becoming more permanent.

Crest Whitestrips definitely work - for a few weeks. If you're looking for a quick, relatively cheap fix, I'd recommend them.
I've also tried whatever whitening method the dentist gave to me - basically syringes of gel to put in my retainer before I went to bed every night. All I remember is that it tasted awful and didn't even seem to have a great effect. I've heard success stories of people trying the method of their dentist, so perhaps mine had no idea what he was doing.

My dad is a dentist and he doesn't recommend teeth whitening because it does tend to weaken your teeth in the long run but...if you REALLY want one, there is one he sorta likes. When I talk to him next, I'll let you know.

I've used Crest Whitestrips. They work well. I noticed that using them once a day for two weeks, rather than twice a day for one week lessened the sensitivity factor on my teeth/gums.
I use the Crest Whitestrips and I am very happy. I only use them once or twice a year. I think that is safe and the whitening effect is very noticeable. They are great.
