By the time this is appropriate to revive (20 years) she’d be great if she still has her voice. I’m not her biggest fan but it’s clear she sells tickets and delivers the goods. Audiences respond to her. Pair her with a hot ingenue and it would be a hot ticket. 

I heard that Christopher Ashley and a team were with Pinkleton yesterday during the show.  Today’s matinee was cancelled. Are they reworking this? 

The problem with callouts at this current time in history is everyone wants to be the “main character.” Consideration of others is at an all time low and the desire for attention is at an all time high. So many people think they are special and can do whatever they want.  

She was terrible in Gypsy. Completely out of her element. Her voice was flat and pitchy. Wooden acting. After all the buzz during the Notebook, I really wondered what all the hype was about. 

chrisampm said: "I was there last night and thought Paul Soileau, the U/S for Evans, gave the best performance of the bunch. Commandingly transgressive."

I imagine Paul aka Christeene will be phenomenal in the role. He’s a seasoned performer and performance artist. Completely brilliant. I’d love to see him. 

 

So has Luke been out the last three nights at Rocky? And Andrew out tonight?

I don’t think anyone making the decisions thinks she is gonna pull ratings. The Tonys are a dud ratings wise every year. That’s not going to change. 
 

I think they hired a pro entertainer who always sings live, is an athlete on stage and has a great personality. Perfect for hosting duties. 

She’s living in NYC now because she wants to be more involved in theatre. Both she and her daughter have stated that Willow wants to be on Broadway. She’s ingratiating herself to the Broadway community. She’s been hanging with theatre producers and says she wants to produce theatre. Maybe for her herself or her daughter. I’d still like her to play Diana in N2N either onstage or in a film version. 

Maybe Boys On The Side would have made a better musical. Jane was a singer after all. 

Two of my girlfriends went. One had a shirt that said I’m The CeeCee and the other one said Im The Hillary. They were unaware it was Bertie in the book. They felt stupid. And they didn’t like the musical. Seems like the writing is on the wall for this one.

Oh Industry! WHATEVER WILL BECOME OF ME?! 

Seems like many of the JIT hardcore fans are unwell. They’ve made it a part of their identity, are crying and saying they think about the show everyday. We ain’t talking just teens either. Older folks too.  I’m sure Groff is happy to get a break from all that. 

Tour cast is top tier. Nolan is a marvelous Pony Boy. Bonale is a wonderful Johnny.  I thought the tour cast was better than the current Broadway cast. The current Broadway cast feels low energy compared to the OBC. 

What’s going on with all these new shows selling $45 mugs?!?

I can see her preferring to perform at swanky supper clubs and charging higher prices so as not to deal with riff raff. On her "tour" she charged an extra $100+ to meet her and she was unwilling to sign even one item per person. That's terrible. 

She tried to do a mini tour in 2025 with 8 dates. I believe she cancelled 3 of them. I don't think concerts are in her cards unless she starts pooping up at orchestra gigs.
