BP are satisfying the demand for oil. They maybe a British company,but they help feed the North American need for oil and it's derivatives. So don't blame the Brits for this situation.

Whilst there should have been measures put into place to deal with the eventuality of a leak, exploration in the gulf is going on to meet American need for oil based products.

Whist the leak has lead to a loss of animal and agricultural life which is awful, I guess the question to ask, whats more important, oil, or fish?

Are you seriously asking the question which is more important, oil or fish? I am hoping you are kidding.

This whole BP disaster has had me sick for the past month or so. I am from south east Louisiana, Plaquemines parish which has been hit hard by this mess. Most of my friends parent's make their living from fishing, shrimping and other activities in the gulf. It is all they know. It is what the past 3 generations of their families have done. They don't know how they are going to survive this. It is a real shame.

This had made me feel so helpless. I want to do something. I want to hold BP accountable, what can I do besides boycott BP? I helped to collect boxes of Dawn soap to ship down to LA to help with the animals, but I still feel like I need to do something else.... I am at a loss though...

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Why all the Bernadette Peters hate? What did she ever do to you? Sure she made people pay a lot of money to see her screw up "Gypsy" but she has to eat same as you and me.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
