A Favor to Ask
It only takes a minute....

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammograms in exchange for advertising.

It's unfortunate that not everyone is supportive of this effort, but that's probably inevitable in a large, diverse crowd like this. I'm not going to let it upset me; I'm just going to stay on task. 10 more emails sent off...

That's a slap in the face to any board member who has dealt with cancer in any shape or form. To the members who have had it, and have "done something" by treating it. To the members who stood by, supported, and cared for loved ones that have/had cancer. And the rest of us who do do something about it.

I want to enjoy life.

That's all. Pretty simple.

When you're told at the age of 25 that you probably won't live to see 30, it changes you.

When you're told after surviving chemo and radiation that you can't have children, it changes you.

When you bury your partner who committed suicide because of the pain of illness, it changes you.

So, I choose to embrace every day.

That's all. Pretty simple.

I was just responding to Ga stating that her main concern re: this thread was the "Spam" PMs I sent. I was pointing out that I had ALREADY told her I would not PM her again.

Therefore, in my opinion, the SPAM PM issue regaring this matter HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
