#200Let's do the CURE BUMP AGAIN!
Posted: 10/27/04 at 2:14pmOut of love, honor, and respect for NYADGAL, who has the grace to suggest letting bygones be bygones, who has more right than most of the rest of us to be upset about someone's apparent callousness concerning the disease that she had to defeat to live, who trusts this community enough to reveal the pain that she has had to deal with surrounding this insidious disease, I suggest we just let the "he said, she said" drop and concentrate on doing our part to support the cause.

I clicked this morning but I was also thinking...
This site funds free mammograms for those who need them. What happens to those whose mammograms come back showing need for further medical attention? Hopefully Medicare can cover any needed medical procedures but that doesn't necessarily mean that all will be fine in the end. Most who undergo cancer treatment, chemo and or radiation find themselves too ill to work. Cancer is not covered by disability. How horrific is that? If you have a job with insurance and you have cancer and can't work you can take a medical leave but that is unpaid and you run the risk of losing your insurance.
What else can be done? What else can WE do?
