'BRUNO' film scrambling to edit film due to Michael Jackson content

I'm told by some friends in the biz that the producers of BRUNO are scrambling to edit the film due to some content related to Michael Jackson.

Apparently there are detailed leaked articles online about this but I haven't tried searching for them yet.

This is old news. LaToya's scene was edited out of the film.

I heard about the MJ stuff being in there, and wondered what they would do.

But you know what...if it's okay to make fun of someone when they are alive...then it should be more than okay to make fun of someone when they are dead because they can't get upset by it, right?

Don't get me wrong, I see where they are coming from. I'm not upset...it's more a 'serves you right' feeling.

I don't believe in censorship, but in this case, it would be too much of a distraction to keep the material in the film; so I think they're smart to edit it out. But from what I've heard, it's probbaly not going to matter very much; the movie looks pretty weak. And from the few short excerpts that I've seen, everything appears very "staged". It might have a strong opening weekend, but my guess is that it's not going to come close to equalling the success of BORAT.

No one was scrambling. They just cut out the scene with LaToya.

It was out of respect for the family.

Well they are also scrambling now to edit Cohen's penis out of the final prints before they hit theatres.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. I dunno...Id prefer they leave it in, but screening audiences had reactions or something...they are adding those blurs that they had in Borat. His junk will now be obscured. God, sometimes I dont understand the puritans in this country. It's just a penis....relax.
