Folks, any suggestions for the ladies of the comp? I think ws2 was leaning towards Goo Goo Dolls, Rath's doing "November Rain" and Allie and Kitz are toss-ups.

Yep, third post in a row. Bso had a good suggestion - someone better be doing Oasis. "Champagne Supernova" and "Wonderwall" were some of their best stuff! (Kitz?)

I'd like to to hear Allie try Kiss from a Rose from Seal or Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses by U2.

I think that would be her opportunity to show a little belt while still doing a tender song. WGRYWH would give her an a chance to really "perform."

As for Kitz, I'd like to hear her rock out a little bit. Plush by Stone Temple Pilots would be my top choice, with All Apologies by Nirvana or possibly a softer rock Mysterious Ways by U2 as back up options.

ETA: Oooooh, Wonderwall could be a nice choice for Allie as well.

Just a disclaimer, I think I speak for Patty when I say I will get all kung-fu over the ass of whomever chooses to take on U2 and mangles it. I also think "One" would be a FANTASTIC song for Kitz or WesternSky. And I have the karaoke for it.

But again, if U2 gets slaughtered, BSo will have nothing on me for what I'll say.

Bono's sacred. No one goes off and mangles religious hymns, now, do they?

I think the lack of country killed you. Like I said, it was an awesome rendition. But it wasn't country, and judging from what I read in some PMs after I opened the "votes", many people said they voted based on someone's loyalty to the theme more so than the performance.

In the 90s I listened to theatre and end-of-the-decade pop music. End of story.

I would still LOVE if someone could find me the track for "Save Tonight." I dug up his album and can't believe I've been letting it collect dust for so long. Eagle-Eye Cherry and Fiona Apple played a very important part in my life during 8th grade.
