I suppose Ebby is the Jennifer Hudson/Tamyra Gray of the competition.
Folks, any suggestions for the ladies of the comp? I think ws2 was leaning towards Goo Goo Dolls, Rath's doing "November Rain" and Allie and Kitz are toss-ups.
Doesn't Rath have to do a female song?

Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Boyz 2 Men, Savage Garden,
The Box is gonna KILL you when she sees that.
I really don't think we can have '90s week without Mariah and Nirvana. We just can't.
Yep, third post in a row. Bso had a good suggestion - someone better be doing Oasis. "Champagne Supernova" and "Wonderwall" were some of their best stuff! (Kitz?)
I'd like to to hear Allie try Kiss from a Rose from Seal or Whose Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses by U2.
I think that would be her opportunity to show a little belt while still doing a tender song. WGRYWH would give her an a chance to really "perform."
As for Kitz, I'd like to hear her rock out a little bit. Plush by Stone Temple Pilots would be my top choice, with All Apologies by Nirvana or possibly a softer rock Mysterious Ways by U2 as back up options.
ETA: Oooooh, Wonderwall could be a nice choice for Allie as well.

So yeah. It sucks to not make it.
Just a disclaimer, I think I speak for Patty when I say I will get all kung-fu over the ass of whomever chooses to take on U2 and mangles it. I also think "One" would be a FANTASTIC song for Kitz or WesternSky. And I have the karaoke for it.
But again, if U2 gets slaughtered, BSo will have nothing on me for what I'll say.
Bono's sacred. No one goes off and mangles religious hymns, now, do they?
Obviously you've never been to a southern baptist church.
EVERYONE mangles religious hymns.
bonsing - you deserved to make it.
And, yeah, Tiff will flip. Well, unless someone ever does Les Mis...or LaChiusa.

Thanks. BSo, but what can you do. There's no ebby love. I knew people didnt notice me, and I guess it's proof.
Well, if maybe people got their hands out of other people's pants...
I think the lack of country killed you. Like I said, it was an awesome rendition. But it wasn't country, and judging from what I read in some PMs after I opened the "votes", many people said they voted based on someone's loyalty to the theme more so than the performance.
Let's say it together kids: Kitz is ****ed.
In the 90s I listened to theatre and end-of-the-decade pop music. End of story.
I would still LOVE if someone could find me the track for "Save Tonight." I dug up his album and can't believe I've been letting it collect dust for so long. Eagle-Eye Cherry and Fiona Apple played a very important part in my life during 8th grade.
I didn't know that country meant schizo singing.
You all know who I'm talkin' 'bout!
I'm searching but can't find any Save Tonight.
Girlie, "One". Honestly. And trust me, I wouldn't ever put a U2 song on a platter unless I had faith you could pull it off.
Get me the original and I'll try to learn it by Wednesday. But honestly--I'm doubtful I'll have enough chunks of time with people out of the house to learn it. At least between that and going on millions of job interviews.

I'm going to be back to share my thoughts. I hafta go make food.
Okay, Kitz. Do you have me on your Buddy List? I'll send you the original and the karaoke.
"I didn't know country meant schizo singing"
Bso, I told you that I forgot to take my meds that morning. How long are you going to torture me about that? **cries**
At least the person you are referring to is Schizophrenic in their singing and not in real life, BSoBW*Insert number here that corresponds with the amount of times he's freaked out and ruined a lot of people's hard work and then decided to come back and pretend it's all dandy*
Akiva
Sad to say, I do not. But my handle should be in my BWW profile.
Akiva, I wouldn't mind hearing you give Waterfalls by TLC a try.
TLC would be fun!
BTW, Kitz, you just logged out of AIM. Here's the One link.

And Spidey, I just found Tracy Chapman's karaoke and I'm about to cream myself.
