I tried both, tiff. But I don't have Windows Media Player.
Go back a page or two, batboi converted it, because I didn't have time
MFL- did you have this on DTS at one point?
My Fair Lady--Can I please give you a hug? Please? Pretty Please? It is so sweet that I can't stand it.
And finally...My Fair Lady, our last minute addition, performing "Once Upon A Dream" from Jekyll & Hyde!
I put this up on DTS recently, to answer TheaterDiva!
And Spider, I'm going to be a bigamist and marry you too.
I'll tell ya what, MFL, I cannot wait to hear you in a few years. Your voice is already so mature for your age - you're gonna be pretty amazing when you're older.
Kitz--You just ripped off my comment to her from last week. Copyright infringement. I am suing for $2 million.
Aw, thanks ya'll! I'm blushing!
Come make out with me a little and we'll call it a draw

Gah! Ok, I need to marry Jac too.
Beautiful. *chills*
now there are law suits... wow this thread has it all
I'll call your make out session plus the simple little vote and then yes . . . it will be a draw.
Alright folks, polls (aka my PM box) will open at 8pmEST sharp. One contestant per vote, one vote per person. Also remember that Jailyard, Cam and my scores out of 10 will be combined to become a score out of 30, and will be added to the number of votes each contestant receives.
Round 2 – Group 1 Critiques:
Type_A_Tiff
1. Ebonic_Singer, “God Save The People” – This was a great choice for a strong, upbeat song in contrast to last week. Great pitch, tone, and a particularly strong upper register. Too bad your back-up singers sucked. But you were great! 8/10
2. jrb_actor, “Wake Me Up When September Ends – As a Green Day fan, picking this song automatically gets you on my good side. I would recommend for next week that you try something that challenges your vocal range more and has a greater dynamic change and emotional climax. It was a good choice and your voice can certain work it out well. I enjoyed it. 7.8/10
3. Timote, “Mr. Cellophane”– I suggested this song for you because you have a simple, affable charm that I knew would be a strength – I was right! You handled the dialogue bits without making them sound forced or rehearsed, and your high notes were good. Your pitch problems are much improved from last week. This wasn’t a very vocally challenging song – I’d recommend you try something harder and more upbeat next week. 7.5/10
4. Spiderdj82, “Sunday Morning” – Awesome song choice. I like Maroon 5, and I particularly enjoyed your rendition because you took what works for Adam Levine and left out what doesn’t – namely, his nasal-whiny voice. You made it a fun song to listen to and it brightened my day. You made it your own (sorry, that’s a Paula-ism) and this submission was better than last week’s. Work on your enunciation. Otherwise, I’m happy! 8/10
5. JACXR71, “Your Eyes” – I had to listen to this twice, since the first time I was too focused on not wetting myself to pay attention. Not as strong as OSG last week, but nothing to be ashamed at. While I know it wasn’t your fault, I had to ding you for choosing a song so similar to last week’s since it didn’t show us any new dimension to your performance. This may wind up hurting you in the votes too, but I hope you stick around because I think you have the most potential out of anyone in this group to do well on next week’s theme. Love, Mrs. JAC 7.8/10
6. Aigoo, “Fallin’” – I take responsibility for choosing this song for you. I still think you could’ve rocked it if you focused on your pitch and tone and committed yourself more to working it out. I wish you’d have a louder accompaniment track – would’ve helped hide your weak points. You have potential to be a powerhouse, but you have to remember to NOT SHOUT ALL THE HIGH NOTES! Your lower register is better, but you lose control in the high notes. “Sustain and restrain”, sista! High does NOT equal loud (unless you’re at a frat party and that’s a whole other story). You start to lose it at the end and what started off somewhat sultry just because you mumbling along with the song. 4.5/10
7. Link Larkin Wanabe, “It Takes Two” – I still like the boy band voice. It may limit you later but it works for this week. It’s a pleasant song but it doesn’t show much range and is a bit repetitive in melody. I don’t mind the small melismatic parts, but I thought it was excessive at the end. I counted 17 different notes! 7.5/10
8. My Fair Lady, “Once Upon A Dream” – I’m happy to see you back, and I think you redeemed yourself with this song. You have a very sweet young voice but I think this song may be a bit too mature for you, and may limit the songs you can sing in the competition. Still, there are plenty of parts that require a voice like yours, so nothing to slit your wrists over! Watch your pitch, there were a couple of flat parts. But this is a great improvement over last week! 7.2/10

Ebonic singer- God save the people 7.5 points
Good job. (The ensemble detracts from your vocals a little though). Good thing you aren't being judged on their performance You have good strong vocals and tone. This was a great song for you and you had fun with it.
jrb_actor – Wake me up when September ends 8. points
Great vocal tone and projection. Your diction is amazing. Nothing worse than the donald duck syndrome. There are a few points when you are hitting your “r”s a little to hard for my liking. But overall you did a fantastic job.
Timote- Cellphane 7.2 points
Huge improvement over last week. You did a good job conveying the emotion of the character. You sound like you are struggling a bit in a few spots, but overall good job.
Spiderdj82 – Sunday Morning 7.2 points
This was overall a good song choice for you. You sound like you are forcing it a little bit, specifically on the higher notes. On a positive note definitely not nasally as the original tends to be.
JACXR71 – Your Eyes 7.8 points
OMG, Swoon.. Is that a proper comment?? Ok just kidding you have a great voice. Last week was stronger, but this is not by any means bad. This particular song leaves so much room for emotional interpretation, I would like to hear you own that.. Make me feel the emotions in this song. And perhaps a little less vibrato. That being said I would love to hear you sing something other than RENT.
Aigoo- Fallin 5 points
Not the best choice of songs for you.. This is a difficult song vocally, especially because of the style of it. You were struggling to stay on pitch in various different parts of the song. I would like to think that is just due to the song choice. Work on your diction, we need to understand what you are saying.
Link Larkin Wanabe – It takes two 7.0 points
Unfortunately the recording isn't very good, but you perform it well. Try to have a little more fun with it, this song has those comical moments built into it take advantage of that. It felt like you were rushing a little bit in a couple of spots.
My Fair Lady – Once upon a dream 7.0 points
You have a beautiful voice.. There several times that your exhaling breath is really harsh. Work on your diction, I can understand you but several vowels and consenants were harsh. If you just change your thought a little for example instead of singing a hard ee, try singing more or an aaaae if that makes any sense. It's much easier to explain not in typed form.

Ebonic-Singer: Once again, you definitely brought your A-game. What a dynamic and flexible voice! The riffing was tasteful and befitting of the style of the piece, and your high notes are absolutely beautiful. Wish the backing track weren't quite so loud, but whattya gonna do, right? You're still a vocal stud, in my book. 8.5
Jerby: God, what a depressing song! As I've just slit my wrists and will be dying any moment now, I'll be concise...you've got a beautiful gift for interpreting a song, and a very lovely top-40 folkrock voice that I'm sure would have teenage girls nationwide leaving little slimy trails on their chairs. You go, boy. 8
Timote: Aww...what an adorable, charming speaking voice! Very good job capturing the character. also MUCH improved since the first recording are your pitch (one or two little issues, but nothing major) and the quality of your voice is quite lovely. (and great job on that last big high note!) All in all, well done! 7.8
JAC: Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said by your legions of fans everywhere...this was absolutely freaking beautiful. That's the best aural sex I've ever had... 9
Aigoo: First, i have to say I love this song. (One of my personal karaoke favorites, even). You did a great job with it, there were a couple tiny pitch issues but nothing major, and you did a very, very, very good job with reining in your belting and turning it into something soulful. Snaps, honey! 7.5
Akiva: That was just...precious! Very, very cute...loved the falsetto riff at the end, and your melismatic vocal orgasming (which caused me a bit of my own) was very well applied in an artistic and interpretive way, and not just slapped all over the song like a cheap whore's makeup. As ever, you've got a great voice, and you would be great in that role. 7
MyFairLady: I think this song might have been a little mature for you...I wasn't quite feeling it. Vocally, it was perfectly fine (although your "dreams" were rather consistently flat, as were most of the phrase endings where you had wide intervallic leaps, but with training, that will even itself out). The vibrato was a bit uneven and forced, but again, I think it's something that will iron itself out eventually. You're on your way to being a fabulous soprano, kid, so keep at it! 6.5
Spidey: Wow. Damn. Who knew?! You are one hell of a pop singer, babe. Not a single pitch problem, the phrasing and interpretation was gorgeous and natural; and it was just sexy as hell. 9
Excellent works MFL, I don't know the technical term (your voice seemed to slip off some of the notes) but overall it was very beautiful.
Lay off Kitz, spider, or I will be REGULATEin' up in here.

I agree with the majority of everyone else -- MFL, you have a beautiful voice!
What a great group-thanks very much to all of you who sang tonight! I wouldn't want to be a judge in this! (as if they would ask me, lol).
It was definately a tough group to judge.. Good Job everyone..
I PMed the zip folder.
I love listening to these... I'm also ok with admitting that I listed the jrb_actor's song from Round 1 around 100 times by now. You have a fan.
Jane you are WAY too FAT to be an IDOL judge.
No excuses . . . even though I got one. **snirkle, snirkle**
Bso-- (I know you told me to PM you, but . . . ) Yes, I do. I tried a couple of times and I would either make it where it was SUPER LOUD or my voice was was pretty much non-existant.
and she's jealous of Paris hilton.. She could NEVER be a judge.. heheheheheheh

Look, just because my chins cover my ears doesn't mean I can't hear well, okay?
