Can I add Tom Sawyer to Rath's list? Sorry if I seem obsessive about it any low sopranos/altos in the competition would do well with This Time Tomorrow. Also, some guy could do "One More Angel in Heaven" (IMO a really bad song but it works with the theme)

That's true, Kerrie. I only suggested it because it's the only country song away from Shania Twain that I'm familiar with. You may want something uptempo. I'll give "Blue" to Kitz.
And JFTR, while I'm not a Shania fan, she's Canadian, so you'll endear yourself if you pick a good song of hers.

You guys defer to Jailyard for this. Really, aside from Shania and a bit o' Leanne and Faith, I know nothing about this.
And if someone wants a song that will make me smile but not really blow away your vocal range - "I've Got Friends In Low Places" by Garth has GOT to be one of the most popular karaoke anthems around.

I absolutely despise country music as a genre, but growing up being forced to hear it all the time, I can't help but know more than I'd like to.
If you girls want any chance at *all* of not making me vomit, I'd suggest Reba, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, or Martina McBride.
For the boys, it's a little tougher...I absolutely revile each and every male country singer that's ever lived, so good luck, kids.

It makes me sad that so many people dislike the genre of country music. 
There are SO many great atrists out there.
Jaily, you don't like ANY male country singers? Keith Urban, Jason McCoy, Collin Raye? Big and Rich? Lonestar? I can think of more great male artists than female!
