Country. Oh what were you thinking, judges?
Well, I'd love to do something from Big River, but I don't think I can find tracks.
Therefore, I'm stuck with top 40 (Faith Hill or Dixie Chicks). But since I don't listen to country, my options are limited.
Unless you'd count Jewel??? *bats eyelashes*
GOD, I should make a FAQ.
FAQ for Round 3, BWW Idol:
Q: Judges, why did you choose country?
A: Because we hate it, and if you can make us like it, and are versatile enough to do well with it, then you deserve to be in here, even if it means our ears bleed from the other entries.
I totally dig Jewel, but I don't think folk is country. But I'd be happy.
In that case, may I ask more inquisitively annoying questions? Or maybe I should shut up, outline APUSH HW, read the pages I missed, and read the case I'm doing in Mock Trial.
I've got my task force out looking for vocal tracks. I'll get back to ya latter Tiff (if I even make it through).
It WOULD be really funny if you fought this out with Diva and neither of you got through.
Or how about neither of you do the song - and that makes it fair to both.
Kitzarina: Cry by Faith Hill. Just do it.
That would be funny. Or not.
What was that Faith Hill skanky Elvis song the stripper's daughter just did on American Idol?
Why's it funny, Kitz? It's what I would be doing were I in the competition. No lie.
I mean, I don't really care that we are doing country . . . it's just that I have NO CLUE what country singer has my range of singing since I don't listen to it. **keeps looking on amazon.com**
Oooh someone do Brad Paisley, hes the only male country singer I've ever been fond of, rather poppish and fun!

Check out Doc Walker, spidey. "Rocket Girl" I'll PM the song to you in a sec.
I was talking to Tiff.
Now I'm trying to figure out how to get my program to record my track AND my vocal. Because right now, I can only get it to do one or the other.
Kitz--Download "Audacity." I have that and it does both and it is really an easy program. Oh yeah, and it's free.
Thanks lover!
It's not spyware, is it?
Nope!
No, I'm using it now and its amazing.
You'd think a country boy like me from the heart of cowboy country would have an easier time with this one.

You'd think a girl from Kansas would know a thing or two about country. The difficulty is finding that fine line--sound country without being twangy.
I live in South Carolina, where people have country blaring out of houses, cars, and drunken barn dances . . . and yet, I have no clue. Actually, I found something but I am going to keep looking.
Akiva, are you from Calgary?
Sure am. I used to own a horse....THAT's how hick-y we are talkin'.

If anyone has really good software that removes the vocals from songs to make karaoke tracks . . . please PM me.
