Wait. What? Liotte, I've got the Yanks up 1-0 in the bottom of the 8th! There's still some playing yet! Sox finally won though! Always a plus.

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

I don't know who Wayne Franklin is, but I have a feeling he won't be around long enough for you to get to know him, Plum! I seriously thought they were going to get out of that inning after Texi-whatever hit into a double play. I mean come on! It was 3-0, why swing at the first quasi-strike?!?!

I guess we got rid of Embry. I haven't heard any other trade tidbits for the Sox, but (even though he's been less than stellar lately) I'll kind of miss Embry.

Yankees are losing today. *sigh* It was a miracle they got one good start out of Leiter, so I was ready for this, but they should have won yesterday. Bleh.

Well, the road trip wasn't a total loss, but they blew at least 2 games they should have won. And they just can't afford to do that, not with the way the underachieved in the first half. Ah, well. They won today, right? :)

Congrats to him. Randy Johnson pitched a great game today, too. Nice to know that whatever happens, the Yankees still completely own the Twins.

Here's hoping Matt Clement is okay- he got hit on the head by a comebacker today. No riskier injury in baseball, including being beaned.

Yeah, my mom called last night telling me what happened...after 2 frustrating losses in a row, I couldn't face another game on Gameday! Those little cartoon men are so depressing when we're losing...I hope he's alright too. I didn't watch Sports Center or anything last night, so I didn't actually see it (probably just as well). *shudder* Sounded pretty nasty.

Woohoo! I never heard of Aaron Small before this season, but thank goodness the Yanks got him. 7 innings pitched and 3 runs allowed with only 80 pitches so far. It's not Roger Clemens, but it'll do. :)

Yeah, the game kinda sucked, but it was lots of fun. Gotta love those corporate suites. Fully stocked and catered. Now I could never sit in the "regular people" seats.
