As I sit here just a TITCH buzzed on champagne, I most recall how hot Reese looked.
Also, Jodie Foster, Gwyneth, Nicole Kidman (without the effing bow), and Helen Mirren.
And, hey, Ellen is a sexy baby butch gal. :)

As someone I was watching it with said, "Reese looks gorgeous in that dress, but that hair, the length and the bangs, makes her look like a porn star."
And, when I looked again, it really, really did.
And then I laughed my ass off.

Helen Mirren looked hot. She is pretty much the hottest old lady around.

Once JHud look off the space alien half jacket thing she looked wonderful. But that little piece was hideous.

Posted: 2/26/07 at 1:26amAm I the only one who doesn't get the whole dresses-with-pockets thing? WHY do you need to put your hands in your pockets if you're wearing a dress?
#14re: Best Dressed @ the Oscars!
Posted: 2/26/07 at 1:28amMy picks for Best Dressed go to Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren and Cate Blanchett.

Posted: 2/26/07 at 1:40amReese was too short for that dress, IMO. My favorites were Penelope Cruz, Naomi Watts, and Cameron Diaz. Oh, and Clive Owen. :) I'm so glad he sat behind Will Smith and next to Helen Mirren, he actually got a lot of screentime because he was always somewhere in the background.

My pick is Jennifer Lopez--something I never thought I'd say. She was vintage and beautiful; everything I love in fashion rolled into one fantastic package!
Honorable mentions for Nicole Kidman, Maggie Gyllenhall, Cate Blanchett, and Helen Mirren.
"Shut up! It's been 29 years!!!" --the incomparable Patti LuPone in her MUCH DESERVED Tony acceptance speech for Gypsy.

This was one of the classiest Oscars ever in terms of gowns.
It would be easier to name the people I thought looked bad:
Anne Hathaway
Kristen Dunst
Nicole Kidman
JLo
Everyone else looked good. Stand-outs were--
Penelope Cruz
Cate Blanchett
Helen Mirren
Jodie Foster
Kate Winslet
Beyonce (in her DREAMGIRLS numbers)
Diane Keaton (especially for her)
I also love the Italian costume designer who was dressed in a funky tuxedo. Somehow, she pulled it off (even though it looked like it was designed for Roberto Benigni to wear!)
Cameron Diaz's hair looked awful (but she was better dressed than she usually is), and Gwyneth Paltrow would have looked better if someone had done something more elegant with her hair. You couldn't really see her gown because her hair covered it all up, but it was the kind of retro dress that would have looked beautiful if she'd had her hair up.
Sorry to blather on so.

He looked like Nick Nolte's mug shot.
Anyway, look how freakin' CUTE Abigail Breslin is, and looking every inch the proper young lady!
