Best Thrift Shops in NY?

I have this sudden desire to go to thrift shops--because I love the crazy clothes I find there for cheap. A new hobby, I suppose.

Where are some great thrift shops in NYC or surrounding areas?

The best-Housing Works. Not only for the quality of merchandise, but their cause is to find housing for those suffering with AIDS.

The one I volunteered and worked in is at 143 W. 17th St. There's one on East 23, and one on west 10th, but it's kind of small.

They also have a book store on Cosby St. off Houston in Soho.
