I think she's a classy broad; this should be a fun one!

She is also on 20/20 tonight. And the second leg of her tour goes out in a few months. truly a sensational show.

It was rumored she might bring her show to Broadway - any news on that?

I heard that she is going to do a complete second tour with her show. Like Meryl Streep though, Bette has said she won't do Broadway again.

One of Bette's old back-up singers is giving me and two of my friends voice/acting lessons every Saturday morning. She just came today for the first time. It's so cool!

She's phenomenal. I saw her recent tour concert twice and will definitely try and get tickets fo this second run. I can't wait to see The Stepford Wives remake next week! :)

Bette will be on the Today Show this week, I believe Thursday, to talk about Stepford Wives. Matthew Broderick this Wednesday to talk up the same movie.

Movie News- Miss M's latest film, The Stepford Wives, will be featured on an episode of Movie News premiering on Showtime on June 2. <-----which I missed, damn it!

Wives on The View- Bette and the rest of the cast of The Stepford Wives will be joining the ladies of The View on June 11 (the day the film opens in the U.S.).

Bette-at-Nite- Bette and her co-stars of The Stepford Wives are said to be hosting a Nick-at-Nite special on TVLand on June 8. The special will focus on the "imperfect housewife" and include the stars' comment on this subject.

Which reminds me of one of the funniest clips I've heard of Bette from her "An Intimate Evening with Bette Midler" tour. You can hear it on the Bootleg Betty site.

She's playing a club in Boston and she tells the audience that she was walking down Boylston Street and a record store had a display of her in the window and she went in to say hello and to see where her albums were. And she told the audience that her albums belong in the rock section. "If you ever find my albums rotting in the vocalist bin with Liza Minelli, shoot me."

HAHAHAHA And isn't it crazy how things turn out...because that is exactly where her albums are.

***By the way, her A&E Biography is Wednesday June 9th, not Sunday June 6th. Just so nobody is confused when it's not on.

Bette Midlers albums have sold millions. Wind beneath my wings, from a distance, and the rose are all classics. Her Rosemary Clooney album is wonderful and doing very well. Liza has always been more of a stage and concert hall persona. Bettes albums are not in the discount bin. Apples and Oranges baby. Apples and Oranges.

I'm not denying her talent. She is honestly my favorite singer. I own many of her CDs. But the quote did not say "Discount Bin" it said "Vocalist Bin", which is where her CDs are, right next to Liza's.
Bette is still an amazing talent, has many fans, and sells a great amount of CDs...but it's funny how she is in the Vocalist section instead of the Rock section, considering she once made that statement.

Ms. Midler threw fit in the Tower Records store in Hollywood when she saw her cds in the vocalist bin. She made them move the cds back to the rock section. I would never have believed it had I not been standing right there. We all thought she was kidding at first, but alas she was not. I still worship her.
