There was no pre-sale code today. It was VIP packages that didn't require one, and AMEX sales, which required an Amex to purchase. The code to access Amex is the 800# on the card, but if you don't have an Amex, you wouldn't be able to complete the purchase.

The prices for this tour are outrageous. In Florida, she will be at the Hard Rock in Hollywood,Fla for two nights. The cheap seats are $150,plus fees to $850 plus fees. The average price is $300. She will also be at the Tampa Arena, which I serious doubt she will sell out. There the prices are a little better. The cheap seats range from $57 to $100 plus fees. The average price there is around $250.

I bought a pair of tickets and have been saying they're "in the far seats, formerly known as the cheap seats."
Just for poops and laughs I took a look at prices for U2 (whom I can't stand anymore and wouldn't go see) in the same venue and they are at least $100 more on top of what the Midler tickets were in each section. This is, I guess, the totally unsustainable business model upon which concert promotions now hinge.

Not sure how you did your Bette vs. U2 comparison, but I bought tickets to both shows and U2 was across-the-board cheaper than Bette.
For floor tickets, Bette charged $350 with the second pricing level not kicking in until the back section on the floor. U2 floor tickets were $86.05 all in, but nearly impossible to get for non-fan club members, although I did get one in the general sale, as well. U2 has a very small "Red Zone" VIP area at the corner of the stage, with $350 VIP tickets, but estimates of only 100 of these available per show, so if you are comparing $350 to $350, they wouldn't line up. Not to mention, Bette charged (going from memory here) $1200 for meet and greet, $700ish for front row (not sure how those are two distinct groups, people who want to meet her but not be in the front row?!) and most of the area closest to the stage were $500.
For lower level, Bette had more VIP options, but U2 pretty much went flat rate with tickets going for $312 all-in ($280 base), with a few seats "behind" the stage (no one quite understands the area-length stage yet or where the front is, and what behind means) at a slightly lower price. U2 did maintain a higher price further back from Midler, but they aren't using a proper end stage, so the far corner is still near an assumed second stage, with a runway/stage running the length of the floor, so that makes sense for their setup.
Both sold pretty high-priced second level seats, as well, with the first few rows going for the same as lower level. And U2 did reduce the price on some of the MSG shows added later, as some fans got the same seat to the later shows but the price was reduced from what they paid a week earlier. Usually for second level seats.
Both are pretty outrageous, though, and I wouldn't want to miss either.

I think Bette charged more in NYC, and U2 was priced the same in Boston, so that would explain how they lined up.

I went to a Connecticut casino for Kiss My Brass because it was 100 dollars cheaper than in Boston.

Dame, I don't know how much Fleetwood Mac charged in your area. When they were in Tampa, last month, the average price was $180. Sure the upclose tickets were up there, but compared to Bette, for the same venue, not even close to what she is charging. I'm ready for the digs, for this comment, but as much as I love Bette, she doesn't even come close to music royalty as Fleetwood Mac. Tampa Arena was a sellout for Fleetwood Mac. Bette, at those prices won't come even close.

Well I am not going to give you any diggs. I didn't find Bettes prices here to be outrageous and she has sold pretty well. Seats here for Fleetwood were in the $300 range. We did the cheap $90.00 seats. I would have been pissed if I had paid any more. Not that they were not great ( they were) .. but it was one of the straightest and uneventful concerts I have ever been to. I have always felt with Bette that her concerts were events.

Dame, Do you think this tour will be an event? I have never seen her in concert. The closest seeing her live was that awful play last year (that I only paid $30 for) and her stepping on my foot at the Golden Globes when she was nominated for For The Boys. If this is going to be a production, I don't mind paying the prices. I do think, especially with the release of the new cd, that it is just going to be her singing. I hope I am wrong.

Well... all I can tell you that for me her shows have always been fun. And if you have never seen her in concert... then more reason to go... she is not getting any younger. You don't have to get the pricey seats. Her shows usually have production values to it. Or you can just get a bootleg of the jumbo screen.

Saw her in her Vegas a number of years ago. She had her production show. It was for a fraction of the price they are charging now. No need to see her again.

I have to make a correction to my earlier post. At Hard Rock, the cheap seats are $350 to the last rows are $150. The most expensive are $850. Seats in just the so so sections are $450. No way! Yall have a good time.

It's not resale. The venue's prices or should I say her prices. Hard Rock is usually not that bad. I saw Kyle at Hard Rock Orlando, a couple of years ago, general admission for less than a $100. I was on third row.
