Saw her Boston show from the seats formerly known as cheap and now known as "far away." Still it was lovely and what I could afford. The beautiful stage looked beautiful and the projections made it look more intricate than it was. Like a gorgeously illustrated pop up book Lots of funny Boston-specific jokes, "I've never performed at a construction site before…" and a real love fest from the audience.
She and the girls performed "Teach Me Tonight" for the first time in front of an audience and it was gorgeous. I was happy she didn't riff on how tired she was as she did on the last two tours I saw and instead just did her showbiz pro thing that pretty much nobody does any more. I never would have imagined back when I saw the De Tour "Stay With Me" would still get to me all these decades later.

Glad you enjoyed it Namo. Also glad to hear she is constantly changing the set list. I just have a question. When you say you were glad she didn't riff on how tired she was.... are you referring to the bid on the couch? She did the couch thing in LA and it worked a lot better than her Vegas show incarnation. I think this current tour is terrific. And I found the sets and projections to be beautiful and so original.

I mean the last two tours I saw she kept saying how "tirrrrred" she was and how exhausted and she would get down on the floor. I didn't see the Vegas residency but she did it during the TV special of that, too.
The couch bit was BRILLIANT way for her to chill out. And it was lovely to never hear her complain about working hard.

Bette...looked good, sounded good and moved good too last night! Way to go Bette. You might even feel tired watching her run around the stage nonstop for the entire performance. I really enjoyed her performance. With a combination of having purchased my "cheap seat" pricey tickets months ago her boundless energy I forgot how much I paid. I am not a fan of her latest album and was pleasantly surprised that she did a fantastic mix of new and popular numbers that you would hope to hear her sing especially if this was your first Divine Miss M concert. If you have never seen Bette or have the opportunity to go again - Bette is still giving it her all so absolutely go!

Brian, Glad to hear you enjoyed the concert. I didn't think I was going to like the new cd. After many full listens, I really love it. Many of her versions of these covers, were just as good as the original. A couple, because of Bette's vocals, I enjoyed even more. Give it another listen.

I'm trying Art. Yesterday I actually listened to it all the way through. I have never been a fan of music from that period though.
I was hoping for more from the Hocus Pocus segment especially with all the excitement over it. Kind of fell a bit flat for me. Loved seeing her in the costume and playing it all up without holding back!
