VERY. I've never seen ten open te event space SEVEN hours early so they must be expecting it to be insane. I was going to go but now but now I'm really reconsidering it.
I wouldn't go expecting an intimate experience.
Do you think she will stage door after the signing. Does she usually stage door at bookstores?
No memorabilia please! That means DO NOT bring your worn out BEACHES movie poster for Bette to sign.
Is there a particular reason she's doing this? That book, while fantastic, came out in the early 80s. Is it a freshened up re-release or something?

Art, it is an updated edition. Release date is April.
Thanks, Art! Now if they'd only make Diva Las Vegas available.

When Stephen Sondheim was signing at the 86th Street Barnes and Noble (a while back) the line started the moment the store opened in the morning. It quickly snaked throughout the store. Yes, this will be mobbed!
I went to a signing at a K-Mart when Liza released her Live from Radio City Music Hall in the early 90s. The line snaked through the entire store, out the door and around the back. Once it started moving, it took two hours for me to get to the little card table she was seated at. She signed, "Love, Liza", smiled at whatever inanity I offered, gushed something like, "that's fabulous!" and turned to the next person in line. Nothing intimate. But I'll remember it for the rest of my life.
I'd love to have the same kind of moment with Bette. I don't stage door. But these are STARS I grew up with.

I don't get opening up 7 hours early AND offering priority seating. If I get priority seating by buying the book there now, is it numbered, so I can just jump ahead of everyone who didn't do that?
Then again, I just checked and I'm seeing The Library at the same time, so no Bette. I got her to sign an I'll Eat You Last poster, so I'm good.
my partners sister works at that B&N, lucky her!
