The Bewitched trailer is out. Is that Kristin Chenoweth in the purple?

Looks like Shirley MacLaine to me.
Oh, I'm only looking at a picture of a woman in purple and gee it has Shirley's name right underneath... D'Oh!

Not the picture. You have to watch the trailer. When Nicole Kidman is running on the studio lot in a white bathrobe.
Looks like it might be fun! (unless it ends up being The Stepford Wives)
I'm just a little concerned about the whole "concept" of the movie. I hope they can pull it off... 'cause I love "Bewitched"
i trust Ephron.

I love Bewitched and am really anticipating this movie, but I too have doubts about the story of making the show in the movie.
Sure is Cheno.
It actually looks cute.
I didn't know it was going to be a behind the scenes movie... ehhh...

The whole preface is Samantha is a real witch playing "Samantha" in the TV show "Bewitched". It's a little weird.

Too bad it's Nicole Kidman. Elizabeth Montgomery had more appeal in her little finger than Kidman has in her entire body. Just nothing there, to me. I couldn't have loved Elizabeth Montgomery (in everything) more!
Looks crappy to me. Don't like the movie within a movie idea. If Samanatha is going to turn out to be a real witch anyway, why not just go with a straight retelling?
FEODOR somewhere on one of these boards is a (probably too long) post on my love and respect for Montgomery. i think these TV show remake movies actually work best when "tweaked" a bit---ala the first BRADY BRUNCH where the family was still in the 70's but the rest of America was present day. Otherwise, why just remake the same concept? there's got to be some kind of commentary going on for interest...

Well, since the movie HAD to be made (apparently), would you have rathered it have been a Bewitched movie? Its better this way, as no one can replace Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York (except maybe Dick Sargent, but we'll let that go...).
Elizabeth Montgomery *finally* gets her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year.
I am "hoping" it'll work... I had reservations when they announced Chicago and their approach to it... and it also worked with Brady Bunch (like TxTwoStep mentioned)... but I'm still just a wee bit scared.
