Apparently Joe Biden didn't realize that in 1929 FDR wasn't President and there was no tv.
"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed," Biden told Couric. "He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'"
And Dems want this man one heartbeat away from the President.

I have to agree with you- that was a big Oops. Biden was completely off base when he said that. So if you are keeping score of the gaffes made in this race that makes the score Biden 1, Sarah Palin 345,678,987!

I can forgive a few gaffes. I can't forgive the intentional blatant lies and distortions put out there by the McCain camp.
Latest lie: Obama is the product of the corrupt old Democratic machine in Illinois.
Fact: When the Deocratic primary for the open senate seat was held in 2004, Obama was NOT the endorsed candidate of the Illinois Democratic Party. He BEAT the machine. He was not part of it.

I don't even think of that as a gaffe.
Was he supposed to use Hoover as the exemplar of how to get out of a financial crisis? And the TV part was a criticism of Bush.
Reaching? Perhaps. But certainly no more than what has been used to cover Palin's idiocy of not even knowing what the word doctrine meant.
re: Biden Gaffe-tastic#9
Posted: 9/23/08 at 2:41pmWell it's no doubt that McCain knows who was president in 1929 - afterall, he was in high school at the time.

Seems like the Media Honeymoon is over.
Palin may have to loosen that Media Chastity Belt....
Palin press may boycott UN conference

NEW YORK – Journalists, displeased with Sarah Palin’s efforts to restrict their access to her, are threatening not to cover her events surrounding the United Nations conference here unless they're allowed more access.
The unfolding boycott is the latest development in a rocky relationship between Palin’s handlers and the press, in which the campaign has sought to tightly control her interactions with the media.
The campaign also at first moved to bar CNN, the television network designated for pool duty, from sending its editorial producer – basically a hybrid print/video journalist – though the campaign budged when the network threatened to withhold its cameras as well.

Biden is trying to get himself off of the ticket in favor of Hillary.
We should have gotten Hillary in the first place.

Hillary will take Joe's place on the ticket sooner rather than later.
Barry should have picked her to begin with!

All you know to do is bring up Limbaugh. Jealous of his influence or new contract?
