Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

Sex outside marriage is outside of everyone's religion, isn't it? MOST do not wait. So really, what's your point? And yes, I believe he's a Christian.

I don't like his touting his religion, and then lying about things as well as being willing to throw Candace under the bus.

I don't know or care if they have sex...that's their business.

When I watch BB, I watch it in bits and pieces (not 100% concentration) Last night, when he was about to pray (looked like he was beginning to kneel on the ground) and Jessie interrupted him, I guess I got the impression he was. I think, in other episodes, I thought I saw him kneel on the floor, which I confused with him being Muslim. But if he is indeed so religious, he is being a hypocrite if he is sexually active with Candace. (IMO)

Lots of religions kneel to pray. Aren't most children taught to pray before bed by kneeling next to the bed?

And MOST "religious" people have pre-marital sex, just like everything else, people and pick and choose what is convenient for them. Methinks you are judging him on this matter, unfairly.

So basically, you're saying he's like 99% of other self-proclaimed Christian Americans. Unless he's voiced opinions on sexual matters, I'd be hard-pressed to call him a hypocrite on that count.

Someone who carries their bible with him, quotes scriptures, and states he wants to do right by his Lord (his words), I would hold them up to a higher standard than the other 99% self=proclaimed Christian Americans. Dramamama, yes children are taught to kneel when they pray. But Howard, is an adult, that is why I assumed he was Muslim. I was incorrect. And as far as the sex, if you read the other sites, (Bigbrothernetwork), Candace has feelings for him, that he does not have for her. I just don't think that is a nice thing to do, especially if you are sporting a Bible.

I think its unfair to judge people differently.

A higher standard of what? Your beliefs or his? Because unless he's stated that he feels sex before marriage is a sin, I don't really know why you'd hold him to a particular flavor of Christianity out of hundreds. It's sort of like expecting him to act like a Baptist when he's actually Unitarian.

It's not my standards, it should be his standards. He is portraying himself on a television show, as an extremely religious person, who is living his life, by his bible.(Which I assume is the New Testament). I am not a Christian, but even I know the New Testament, considers sex outside of marriage a sin. It doesn't matter, if he feels sex before marriage is a sin or not, the holy book that he is quoting says it is. If you pick and choose only the aspects of your holy book you want to follow and disregard the rest, then that makes you a phony, especially when you come across as a "holier than thou". And don't get me started on the lying. My last words on the subject. He's probably getting evicted tonight anyway.

I haven't seen him be holier than thou -- just livin' his life as fits HIM. I find your judgement of him far more offensive.

And that, Dramamama611, is your opinion. And the next time, which should be real soon, that you are rude, mean or sarcastic to another poster, I will be reminded to call you out for your own offensiveness. And before you say, what?, me never! Remember, your own words, "most people don't see themselves as others do."

Of course its my opinion, whose else should it be? I've never pretended to be an angel, ever. I have every right to speak my mind -- regardless if you like it or not.

And I have the right to speak mine. In the past, I chose not to embarrass or call out someone, unless they did it to me first. But now, Babycakes, bring it. And I will bring mine. Regardless if you like it or not.

I hardly attacked you, but your judgement of another human being. But if you want to make it personal, have fun.

Get my name out yo' mouth! So help me God, I will make sure you leave this house next week!

LOVED it!
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

Meh. Last week or so she went off about how she's her own person and HER HOH is going to be what she wants, not the house. (And yet she votes with the house). We'll see. maybe this week they'll be able to get Aaryn out. (PLEASE??)

Actually, between America being MVP again and there being a double eviction next week, I guess it really doesn't matter all that much who the HOH is this week. Anything can happen. But I agree with clever name. There really isn't anyone to root for. I guess my favorite houseguest at this point (personality-wise) is Judd, with Helen (although she's starting to get on my nerves) a close second. -- I've been trying like carzy to place Judd's accent, and it finally dawned on me. He sounds exactly like Huckleberry Hound!

I kind of hope Candice wins HOH this week.

Aaryn is in for a rude awakening no matter when she leaves the house so I am not all that concerned with whether or not she goes in the next couple of weeks. I would rather see Amanda go first. I really like her at first but she has turned into a nasty piece of business. I want her and McRae out! They're so annoying.
#349

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

They're ALL annoying in one way or another. But I'd rather not see Aaryn or Amanda make it to jury. (Or GinaMarie, for that matter.) Based on who won last night's HOH, I doubt that Aaryn will be the first out the door next week. But, with America nominating the 3rd houseguest and a double eviction looming, it's anyone's guess who will be leaving. If I'm calculating correctly, the two out the door next week will be the last two to leave before jury.

It's not my standards, it should be his standards. He is portraying himself on a television show, as an extremely religious person, who is living his life, by his bible.

If Christianity were so cut and dry, there would only be one denomination and no gray areas, but it's not. The problem here is, Howard sets his standards, not you. And unless he has 1) defined his view on sex and 2) actually HAD sex with Candice (you would also have to get into the argument of what is considered "sex"), then it would be fair to judge him on that. But from what I've seen, he's done neither, so the point is moot. And "holier than thou" is a patronizing morally superior stance based on religion. I haven't seen Howard exhibit that at all. Everything he's said about God seems to have been just about his own personal relationship. I grew up among the worst of the worst when it came to Christian hypocrisy and though I'm not fond of bringing religion onto the show, his Christian talk has been relatively benign.

Candice just made things worse for herself with that speech. If she wanted to call out Spencer, then the LAST thing she should have done was a power-rant in front of the whole house. She let pent up frustration take over and forgot about trying to win the game.

I would love for Aryan and Amanda to go next. Followed by Spencer and McCray-Cray. I hope McManda gets married because it would be better for the world not to inflict them on anyone else.
