It happened twice after he made his normal poor taste jokes about the Zimmerman affair. He stopped after the 2 nd joke got roundly booed.It was on Letterman last night

Maher is a real sleazebag. His jokes about 9/11 were beyond bad taste. I do not think he was ready to be booed by an audience on any show . It was a big reality check for him

He does not like Palin . He goes after one of her grandkids calling him a retard. Imagine if someone on the other side of the aisle said things like this. Big man goes after a mentally challenged kid.

For the record, Jimmy Carter actually agreed with the verdict. A lot of stuff was under reported. Some poor kid in St Louis (I believe) was grabbed by a group of young African Americans & set on fire right after the shooting. They said "This is for Trayvon". Seems like a hate crime to me. Did not hear to much about this in the mainstream media.I guess this does not matter in the grand scheme of things

Just watched the clip, hardly the pearl clutching event that Roxy is making it out to be.

If Palin decides to use her special needs child as a prop she is just as guilty as Maher is. And during the election, that is EXACTLY what she did!

Saw the clip and he gets reactions like that every week on his own show when he tells a joke.Roxy is just following what Noah Rothman tells him. Nice try Roxy.

Mr. Roxy ... the facts of the crime you reference are indeed bad but are not what you reported. Despite police outreach in the St. Louis community, the suspects have not been identified, and while the victim may well be telling the truth, the investigation has not been able to prove that things occurred as he described. But not even he reported that the attackers said anything about Trayvon - - though he says, through his mother, that they did make racial comments. See the link.

Your assessment of Bill Maher's appearance on Letterman is equally flawed. He is plenty accustomed to people not appreciating his brand of humor. Not that the response was nearly as negative as you claim.

And while you are, of course, entitled to your opinions, invoking the name of Sarah Palin to support an argument is beyond laughable.
