I'll give you that one anth! However, I also know that Miss M is a crack shot, so you'd better watch out. She was on the rifle team with my daddy at Radnor High School and could hit the cap off a bottle.

I simply replied to a post about tour prices and gave a few logistics comments. I am certaintly no better than anyone else in Philly and have never given any impressions of such. I am who I am and write what I write. LOL! Some people have a wild imagination about who I am. I can't change that, nor do I care.

I think it's too pathetic that the " English Patient" has an obvious problem that HE has created towards a person he knows nothing about , except what he's invented. He has gotten his knickers in a twist for God knows why, about me, over my writing, I suppose. Anyone who has enough time to search out my posts, hunt down my photos, just to fling crap has my sympathy. I have no time or intent to enter into an arena of fools over this. But, let's face it, when crap hits a fan it's flung back in your face. So, as usual just consider the source and ignore it.

I have no problem with anyone, anywhere, anytime. I support my city theater and all the friends I have made elswhere. Thanks guys. C-ya!

Amen, Pati.

Now, Anthony, that link...my ears are bleeding. I recently had the great pleasure of seeing Natalie Dessay sing the role and she was unforgetable. Now you just had to go and ruin that for me, didn'tca. Ohh, Florence Foster Jenkins's got nothing on Anna.
PEACE.

sueleen, I shall never forget being at a MASTER class taught by our dear, slurry voiced, out of tune and verismo Lucia ..

Three young singers had sung the trio from "Faust" and looked to her for some advice as she had sung in 734 productions of "Faust" ...

She paused, listed slightly to the right and the said the following:

(to the soprano)"Youyouhoney, you'reavirgin!"

(to the bass) "Youyoubaby, you'redadevil!"

(to the tenor) "Youyouatenor!"

and with that detailed analysis of one of the greatest trios in the history of music ringing in everyone's ears she went:

"Next..whosenext"...

My friend turned to me and said

"This is some crazy s***!"...

hmm, I'd like to get this thread back on topic by discussing my favorite topic: me!
It's my birthday in two days. I'm counting down until I drink one too many martinis (and hoist an obligatory mojito for Dame) and hopefully not pay for one single drink.
I'm also going to a first tonight: lesbian karaoke. This should be a blast.

Ok... a bit self indulgent, but there's a lessson here. When I came home from the theater late today , exhausted, a friend called. When I related to her what I did in a most unremarkable manner, she said to me,"do you realize that today you sat with a Miss America and a Broadway composer on either side of you as you watched a brand new show rehearse and then had lunch with the main star?". I honestly didn't view this as such as I focused on the interviews, what the opening would involve, etc.

I'm sharing this to say that if someone as insignificant as myself, strugling like everyone else to pull things together to make ends meet...that unexpected experiences can happen to anyone who just keeps their personal goals in sight. Never take things in life for granted.
