According to Yahoo website, Bob Barker said Rosie could replace him
This would be a pip of an idea
I'm all for Rosie on The Price is Right. Mainstream America will see her for what hse really is: a delusional kook.

I can imagine someone hugging her & she hauls off & belts him/her in the mouth.
I think it is a great idea but I cannot believe they have not got a replacement yet. What happens to Barker's Beauties?
The burning question I always wanted to ask: Was Barker ever spayed or neutered? America wants to know. Just kidding Bob from someone old enough to remember you on Truth or Consequences in the 50's

hahaha, oh Bob Barker. What a comedian.
Barker goes on to state some of those interviewed were John O Hurley & George Hamilton.
My God, Hamilton can not be far behind him age wise
Rosie O'Donnell or Rosie the Robot?
I can imagine Barkers Beauties being replaced by Rosie's Riveters - women all looking like Rosie
Prize winners would have to meet eligibility requirements. If you are anything but a staunch democrat, you are not even allowed in the audience
Howard Dean would also be a natural as host.

He doesn't actually read your posts. He has you blocked.
I pray this will not come to fruition.
I think O Hurley would be a good choice but no idea if he would be interested
What about Elizabeth Hasselbeck? Or a joint effort of lovely Elizabeth with Rosie?

John O'Hurley will take any job offered him. He'd probably still try to keep his Family Feud gig too.
How about Hasselback as the host & Rosie as one of the models showing the prizes ?
I guess if they offered it to him, he would take it. Will they go for a name ? if so, he would appear to be out. If they want game show experience, they should go for the one with the game show TV host name Wink Martindale
Rosie O'Donnell has been chasing after this job ever since Bob Barker announced his retirement, constantly flooding the producers with emails and phone calls stating her interest in doing it.
She was still trying to convince them to hire her as recently as last week, but apparently she was finally given a firm answer of "thanks but no thanks" a few days ago.
I won't be surprised if she ends up with her own TV project next fall on NBC. Ben Silverman (the new head of entertainment for the network) is apparently quite anxious to sign her up for something.
About who will end up replacing Barker-- I too am confused as to how they haven't hired someone yet. They've been searching for months (with a few good possibilities) and still haven't been able to come to a decision.
The last I heard (I believe Barker was quoted as saying it himself) was that he was most likely going to come back and kick off the new season temporarily until they decide on a permanent successor.
This would have perfect for Rosie after leaving her talk show, but now she would be too much of a buzz kill for such a fun show. Everyone knows her as too political and angry to host such mindless fun.
Rosei said on her blog last week that if she got the job she wants Ross from Leno to be the announcer.

If America could deal with a serial defendant in sexual harassment lawsuits asking them to guess the price of Rice-a-Roni, they could make the adjustment to somebody who is "too political," which in this country generally means "political at all." And she'd be hosting a game show, not discussing "hot" topics.
That's very, very funny. Quite the little analyst.
Rosie's ending tagline would be, "If you know a Republican, remember to get them spayed or neutered."
Ummm... I doubt VERY MUCH that any network would turn down Rosie. CBS could use the boost.
I think it would be awesome. Bring it to NYC!!!!
It's a good transition for her.
I would definitely be watching The Price Is Right if that were to happen.
"Ummm... I doubt VERY MUCH that any network would turn down Rosie."
Tell that to ABC, who turned down her counter offer to come back for another year on "The View" (though they were willing to have her back for a three year deal.)
Apparently CBS called O'Donnell today and booked a meeting wither her for next week after Barker's endorsement at the Emmy's last night, so she may have a shot at the hosting job after all.
As I said, I hope she gets it. It would be great for America!
