The Poseidon Adventure is the one movie I have watched more than any other. I never get tired of it.
I also love:
What's Up, Doc?
The groovy 1962 remake of State Fair.
Hairspray
The Fearless Vampire Killers (I remember watching it on TV when I was five)
Les Demoiselles de Rochefort (absolutely pointless, but George Chakiris at his hottest)
Logun's Run (another movie I never tire of)

Don't know Anita Morris, but I sure wish Grover had made more films. I'm completely into people whose prime has passed. Which is kind of sad, really. Most of today's crop leave me ice cold, though.

Posted: 6/27/05 at 1:32pmAnita Morris is a Broadway vixen most famous for creating the role of Carla in the original production of Nine. You probably will remember her as Danny DeVito's mistress in Ruthless People.

I miss Anita Morris.
She was a gold mine of talent that left this earth too soon.

Dyan Cannon...she of the infectious laugh.
Like her best in Heaven Can Wait. Grodin and she work well together.
Deathrap. Love her running around screaming.

She's funny out in the garden with Grodin's hand over her mouth and love when she drops the spoon in 'Heaven Can Wait'.

Posted: 6/30/05 at 10:39pmI forgot about the scene in the garden. Joseph Maher is really good in that movie too. And Vincent Gardenia.

Glebb, okay, let's talk about Dyan Cannon in "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice."
From "Afterglow: a last conversation with Pauline Kael"
Francis Davis: Did you ever think that something you said about an actor or director was too cruel? Like when you described Dyan Cannon as "looking a bit like Lauren Bacall and a bit like Jeanne Moreau, but the wrong bits?"
Pauline Kael: Dyan Cannon roared over that one, I'm happy to say. She's a very smart, very lively woman, and she was very sweet about it.

Posted: 6/30/05 at 11:52pmIn Hollywood. Why she? I mean, there had to be a million girls, better than Dyan Cannon.

Awww, that's harsh.
Didn't she go steady with Frank Sinatra?
#66re: Bob! Do You Want To Go To Bed With Me?
Posted: 6/30/05 at 11:58pmShe was married to Cary Grant. Gave him a daughter! I suppose that's why there was a Dyan Cannon. Don't hate her, just don't get her. Of course, that can be said about many people in Hollywood. Nicole Kidman and the one who looks like she's always sucking a lemon. Oh god, what's her name? The skinny one who's in everything, with the face that looks like it's been punched around... Yikes, my brain is shattered!

Posted: 7/1/05 at 12:07amAlthough, I am thinking that I really liked her in something. I need to remember what that was.

#71re: Bob! Do You Want To Go To Bed With Me?
Posted: 7/4/05 at 1:06amI like it. Haven't seen seen it in a while though. Natalie looked great it in with her tan offsetting her big beautiful eyes. I love the part when she goes up to Alice and says something like "Alice you beautiful brilliant woman, you know where it's at."

Posted: 7/4/05 at 8:04amAnother campy movie that I don't think has been mentioned: Die, Die, My Darling. Tallulah Bankhead, Stephanie Powers, and Donald Sutherland. Actually, Bankhead's performance is really good in this very minor horror film. It was her stab at that cycle of horror films starring aging actresses.

I've always wanted to see that nmartin.
More camp: Susan George's over the top Southern Belle in Mandingo.
