I heard on the news today that they think he is just lying low. There is activity on his atm card and cell phone leading them to believe this.
I heard no other details.

Oh my god!
RIP!
He was always my favorite recurring character on the show. I still laugh during his scene in the school play of "Our Town" where the tape recorder under his sleeve he was mouthing his lines to started playing music, and he started danicing. Ha!

Poor guy. His depression must have been crushing. I feel awful for his family and friends. Walter Koenig's interview was heartbreaking.
