I'm surprised that no one has posted this yet. I never thought I'd live to see the day when they would get engaged. I didn't think anyone else would either. I'm happy about this because their kids always wanted them to tie the knot and I really hope it happens.
Jordan, yeah... but y'know, to me it just shows that it's probably unwise to make (lack of a better term) ultimatum promises, no matter how well-intended. They have this huge family together, and the kids want mom and dad married. I think that is rather sweet. I also think there's room for understanding here and that their support of gay marriage should itself suffice. They should be forgiven for making a promise that they really never should have made. Now their promise to to each other (and to their kids), and that's the promise that should last. They can still use their influence and celebrity to promote marriage equality, and I fully expect they will do so.
This infuriates me! I've proposed to Brad numerous times but that Woman With The Leg keeps intercepting my e-mails to him and making life miserable for me.
