I won't be watching live because I refuse to give NBC ratings because of how they screwed over Conan. Ill probably download it, I only like Fallons singing skits, other then that meh. I'm really curious to see how the ratings are.
Conan was a class act today tweeting this...
" As the only man alive who’s hosted The Tonight Show & Late Night, I want to congratulate jimmyfallon & sethmeyers. They’ll both do great!"

Posted: 2/17/14 at 9:40pmThat sounds like a helluva lotta effort to put in so that you can "not" watch a show you aren't interested in.

Posted: 2/17/14 at 9:46pmTakes less then a few mins to download the show, I am curious about the first episode. I don't hate Fallon or anything, just refuse to support NBC.

I still work for Conan and he has gotten over it and has moved on and seems very happy with the show he has now. Yes, NBC paniced and acted quite stupidly, but as a network who was watching their prime time ratings plummet like a lead ballon, one can see a reason for their knee jerk reaction. Conan's move to cable has given him a little more wiggle room with standard and practices which fits his humor more.
Fallon I feel is a perfect successor to Carson's Tonight Show. Never at all cared for Leno, he always struck me as a greasy MFer.

Do you own a Nielsen box? If not, no one will know you watched it but you.

I love Fallon. But I love Conan, too. Any true Conan fan should know by now that he has moved beyond it. Talk about sour grapes. NBC is a for-profit corporation and have to watch their bottom line. The bottom line is Conan was the wrong successor..... Always was. And I again say that as a huge Conan fan.

Posted: 2/18/14 at 12:50amThis premiere episode has been great! Those celebrity cameos who owed Jimmy money was hilarious! Gaga, Lindsay, Joan, SJP, Deniro, etc!!

Posted: 2/18/14 at 5:33amThat was a great show. Clearly, the best man for the job. And, wow, looks like Joan Rivers is finally off the Tonight Show blacklist.

Joan Rivers for the win.

Posted: 2/18/14 at 9:26amThat was my first thought when I saw Joan come out. Then I also thought it was incredibly gracious of Jimmy (or Lorne or whoever first thought to invite her) to mend that fence, even if it only was a gesture, because those people who know the history would appreciate it.

Posted: 2/18/14 at 9:40amGreat episode. Fallon is a classy guy with genuine heart and a passion for what he does. He's also not afraid to take risks and make a fool of himself in the process. The perfect successor for The Tonight Show.
