First Rath, you're not a pregnant celebrity. Have you seen Super Size Me? Documentaries aside, I do believe that eating junk is absolutely just as bad for you as drinking or smoking, with varying degrees. Obviously, someone who eats a Big Mac once a month is likely to be in better health than the pack-a-day smoker. I'm not really even speaking of Britney anymore, but the larger (no pun intended) picture.

Aren't seatbelts available in convertibles???

ReLAX everyone!!!! Why do you care so much what someone you've never met does??? It is NOT our business if they are stupid enough to drive without seatbelts - if indeed that is the case. And it is not our business if she eats Big Macs every day for her entire pregnancy. One picture does not a life make.

It does not appear that the vehicle is equipped with shoulder belts. And I don't want to use my X-ray vision on a pregnant woman to see if the seat belts are in use.

Rath...it just caught my eye because I have a friend who is hunting for a convertible like a man possessed (most likely for a model in mid-life crisis red) and I've been thinking about them. The seatbelt thing just came to mind.

I don't want to argue with you Raith, you're on of my faves. I agree with you about Britney. I just find it hypocritical that someone would defend fast food for a pregnant woman, but would not defend cigs or alcohol--the key word here is pregnant. Certainly you've heard of pg women who've been refused wine service in restaurants. I remember an episode of LA Law (dates me!) when Susan Ruttan was given grief about it, and that was many years ago. Now can you imagine being refused a Quarter POunder because you're pregnant? Of course not. My oint is that if you want to eat, smoke or drink while you're with child, be my guest. But to imply that one vice is more virtuous than another is folly, DJ (just channeled Laurie Metcalf for a sec)..

Well, we can't all judge a person by two photos of them. I love McD's, who doesn't? It's not a crime to go to mc donalds! who knows, maybe she ordered a salad? it is ridiculous to judge from one or two photos.

Now what with the drinking and smoking, all i can say is that i really feel sorry for that baby.

lildogs, if she was smoking or drinking while pregnant, it wouldn't be our business either. I'm not defending one or the other - I'm defending her right to not have her life scrutinized by supposedly well-rounded, intelligent people on a message board.

I've been around pregnant women - you try telling them what they ahould and should not do and see where it gets you. Unless you're the father, it's none of your beeswax.

One thing I have learned from this: We are only allowed to judge ourselves.

Everyone has the right to do whatever the hell they want as long as it's not breaking the law. But then again, everyone has the right to their own opinion, so there is no harm in posting your opinion, even if it is judgemental.
