Hadn't heard that before! Very exciting. I bet it'll do well on the charts. MUCH better than Gimme More. Can't wait to actually hear it in high quality.
Because it's being released to radio stations on Tuesday, does that mean we can expect it to be on iTunes as well on Tuesday?

A new album just a year after the last?
Typical Britney.

Don't make any judgements just yet. Wait until you hear it. I have faith that it will be great.

While I am glad Britney seems to be back on track. She has never been one to take time to release a quality album. Her earlier stuff was always rushed. Look at Christina for example, she's been around for the same amount of time and has only released 3 official albums (excluding her Spanish and Christmas album).

I don't think Britney is really capable of releasing what you think of as a "quality" album. Christina's music is much deeper usually and shows off her vocal ability. Britney's CDs are mainly dance CDs, which doesn't really take a long time to make a dance CD...

How can you exclude them? She still had to record them. 5 albums is 5 albums. Which makes her what, equal to Britney or ahead?

Those two albums consisted of mostly pre-released material. She has 3 albums of her own original material. Christina takes years between albums of her own original work. That's why I don't count her Christmas and Spanish albums, they are mostly non-original

So you're saying those two albums were rush jobs just sort of thrown together from odds and ends?
That's quality alright.

She still sings and its still recorded, released. It may be a special holiday or whatever crap, but it's still work.

Aguilera's Spanish album included five spanish versions of songs from her debut album, but it also included five original songs.

I guess what I am trying to say is, Britney has always rushed her own original material. While Christina has always taken time to release original material, to guarantee quality. For example (original work only).
Christina Aguilera (1999)
Stripped (2002)
Back to Basics (2006)
&
Baby One More Time (1999)
Oops! I Did It Again (2000)
Britney (2001)
In The Zone (2003)
Blackout (2007)
CIrcus (2008 )
You are going to tell me Britney has NOT rushed more material than Christina? Quantity doesn't always mean quality.

I see what you are saying and agree...but you still have to include her Spanish album, because it was half original.
ETA: Not to mention, Back to Basics is a double-album, thus includes double the material. I do agree that overall Aguilera's work has more substance than Spears', though

Well according to Wikipedia, this is what a critic from Allmusic.com said about her Spanish album. And I agree with it.
All Music described the album was a mirror image of her debut album Christina Aguilera. He stated that the record was classy and well produced, but later he added: "It's hard to view Mi Reflejo as anything other than a bit of a pleasant holding pattern! It's enjoyable as it spins, but it doesn't add anything new to her music, since it's just the old music in new clothing.

Guys, are we seriously arguing over who creates better music?
Christina creates music that is vocally challenging and Britney creates dance music...
well, Christina is now creating dance music too, it seems. Wouldn't be surprised if she caught up with Britney in the next year or two... what with her lipsyncing at the VMAs this year and all. :)
