Yep, pretty much EVERY stage actor in New York does a few guest spots on Law and Order. I've seen Playbills where 90% of the cast lists it as a credit.

Sieber's "has not appeared on Law & Order" from his Playbill bio is rather funny.

The three L&O shows and the awful "Hope and Faith" are the only shows shot in NYC, so you see lots of Broadway talent on them. "Spin City" (when Michael J. Fox was on it)and both "The Cosby Show" and "Cosby" were also shot in NYC.

I always thought shows like "Friends", "Seinfeld" and "Mad About You" would have been better if they were shot in New York, using New York actors in supporting roles.

Every show I go to I count the number of cast members that have been on Law and Order. My neighbor works on the show, and every time I tell her a show that I've seen, she names the number of people she has worked with from that show lol.
I love it though. It is great to see theater people on tv - but I still prefer stage.

I like the L&O ep with Ruthie Henshall and Linda Emond, where Ruthie is the British crime novelist who is shot and wounded (and her manager?/agent? killed) on the street, and Linda and her husband are the married FBI agents, and the husband was helping Ruthie with research on her new book, and the police are convinced Ruthie was having an affair with him, but... Every time I see Ruthie Henshall mentioned on BWW, I think of L&O.

I love S(weet) Epetha Merkinson... But no, the only actors I've noticed was that special with Angela Lansbury and Alfred Molina.

Then I saw the black guy (I'm horrible with names, sometimes) at the Tonys.

I like Jesse L. Martin on Law & Order. I'm the only person in my family who watches it but I like it.

My family (including myself) are all L&O junkies
And they always ask me "Recognize anyone?"

My mom loves that show and likes to tell me all of the people who have guest starred in each episode.

I've only seen one that I've actually fully watched - one in which Roger appeared. re: Broadway Actors and Law & Order

They were filming a scene outside of our studio in TriBeCa a couple of weeks ago and I got to watch it for a bit. Didn't see anyone I knew, but I don't really know any of the "major" cast members. But if you are watching next season and it involves a car crash on Greenwich Street - that's the one.

Anthony Rapp played Dr. Matt Spevack in an episode and Jane Kracowski (sp?) played his sister!
2 in one episode!!

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

Yes, I remember seeing different Broadway actors on Law and Order. The latest, L&O SVU, my friend, Albert Insinia, who is in an Off Broadway show now, just taped his second L&O SVU episode as I-T's old boss which will be shown in October.

I remember dying because of Anthony and Jane on one episode, and I also think I saw an episode with Lillias and one with Capathia Jenkins from Caroline, or Change. I really love the show, I only watch SVU though.

Somehow, SVU interests me most, too...oh wait, I like the original one, too...oh wait, CI...no, no, SVU...
I saw David Harbour again on CI the other night (rerun).

PS: Thanks nmartin. I don't feel like a complete loser now...Guess it's many people's hidden pleasure re: Broadway Actors and Law & Order

My personal favorite was the now cancelled Trial By Jury. But I'm a Bebe Neuwirth fanatic.
