Until the more recent revivals of MACK & MABEL, EVERY Broadway Musical about silent movies(THE VAMP, GOLDILOCKS) failed.

Judy Garland was originally slated to play Annie Oakley in the film version of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, but was fired due to EXTREME vocal problems and being overweight.

(There is a bootleg recording of her singing the score.)
