re: Broadway Stars Solo CDs

Fine by me Emcee re: Broadway Stars Solo CDs
I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

Personally, I much prefer Adam Pascal's Model Prisoner to Civilian (though that's good as well). I loved MP, but Civilian left me a smidge disappointed. I still like it, and I've been listening to it more lately, but I still prefer MP.
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

Some of it is quite tragic, though most of it isn't really half bad!

Thrill of the Chase is the best thing ever. EVER.

Oh.My.God! I haven't listened to that in ages. I must listen to it tomorrow at work on my DellPod! Oh, how I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when that was recorded. I have images of Pascal w/ 80s Bon Jovi hair, bouncing around at the mic!

Daphne Rubin-Vega's cd is a MUST!! Absolutely amazing. Both of Idinas cd's are increadible, but I reccomend Still...because it's funkier and has more songs!

""i personally love matt caplan's
overtones cd and jeremy kushnier's
in time cd.""

I'm going to "ditto" that comment as well as the many rave reviews of "Civilian."

I also like Kristin Chenoweth's "As I Am" if only for "Taylor, The Latte Boy." Too cute.

Oh yeah. Idina. But doesn't she go without saying around here?
i'm a tough act to follow because when i'm done i take the microphone with me.

Anthony Rapp's "Look Around" is getting as much love as it deserves. "Just Some Guy" and "Alive" are great songs!

Adam's CDs are both great and I suggest them.

"Men I've Had" from Sherie Rene Scott is amazing too.

As well as Kristen Chenoweth's "Let Yourself Go".
1. Ted Allen: Everyone has an interesting life if you ask the right questions.
2. Great buckets of Spoffnor, they're going to sing!
3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys
