Can't wait to see this. What's hotter than Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal together in a movie? Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as gay cowboy lovers! My cup runneth over! And directed by Ang Lee, no less (though I've heard he'll tone down the love scenes....still, there'll be nudity, what more can a gay boy ask for?)

If you go to getty images and look up Heath Ledger you can see nude behind the scene pics of him jumping into a river. Jake used his stunt double for that scene, so you also get to see a nude shot of Jake's double.

Yes. I know. I'm still in cloud 9 from them (granted, Heath Ledger has looked better than in these nudie images, but hey, it's Heath Ledger!). I can't believe these haven't created a bigger stir; it's not everyday we get nude pictures of a hunky young star. How did Getty Images get their hands on these?

My prediction is that this is going to be a watered-down flop. Ang Lee's films have absolutely no sensuality to them at all...dry, dry, dry. Whatever happened to the film of THE MAN WHO FELL IN LOVE WITH THE MOON that Van Sant and then Almodovar was supposed to direct? OMG, has anyone read that book?! Now there's the buttf**king western we've all been waiting for. Don't miss it!!!

I'm a huge fan of Ang Lee's work and I think he'll be able to give this film intelligence and not dumb it down.

However, I agree that a lot of his movies seem more like character studies that can be a bit dry at places. However, I think Ang could really pull this off. I thought he dealt with sex very well in the movie "The Ice Storm." I hope that people won't disappointed when this movie doesn't end up like a porno.

That said, I do hope he keeps the sex scenes real and in-character with the plot.

I love Ang Lee's movies, but I also hope he doesn't tone down the sensual nature of Proulx's short story. But hey, it looks like the sex will be rough...

I was looking into this and apparently Ang Lee isn't toning down anything from the novel. The whole herding sheep nonsense was exactly that. Nonsense.
