I just watched it on the iTunes Music Store. It's a really, really, really great trailer. I honestly think this will be the Oscar winner for Best Picture this year. The trailer is simply amazing, and it has garnered nothing but all out raves from the film festival it premiered at. This movie looks like it will be one for the ages.

You are judging a film's over-all quality on a trailer?
Give me a break!

Was your comment needed?

Yes, my comment was warrented. You're predicting an Oscar win for a movie you haven't seen but have heard good things about. You haven't seen it for yourself.
Grow up.
Actually, DP--you are extremely wrong on this. One can win an Oscar pool without having seen any of the nominated films. Those who follow Oscar buzz know full well that BM is one of the leading contenders for Best Picture, thus far.
When I saw the trailer in the theater, I cried! It looks gorgeous.

Well, I'm very happy that you cried while watching the trailer.
However, it is a MOVIE and you will burn in hell for watching it.
I HATE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't "Honey" me! I saw SISTER MARY IGNATIUS EXPLAINS IT ALL FOR YOU. I know who's going to hell and who isn't.

I'm hoping Michelle Williams gets an oscar nomination...

An Oscar nomination for what? Going to hell?
"Ang Lee's award-winning gay western is the most important film to come out of America in years, says B Ruby Rich"

And it's not released until December 9th!!
Well, that's little more than two months from now. Not too long.

Iamagine for one minute if there was an oscar category for going to hell, then imagine all the fantastic people who'd be nominated. Tara Reid, Jackie Stallone, Katie Holmes... don't know if Michelle would cut it.
What does commenting about a movie have to do with growing up?
Whats your problem?
All gay themes aside, this movie looks heartbreaking.
Currently, the odds are the following (though, usually the actual noms and winner do not match this so well)
Best Motion Picture:
Jarhead 7/2
Munich 6/1
Brokeback Mountain 7/1
The New World 10/1
The White Countess 12/1
Memories of a Geisha 12/1
Cinderella Man 15/1
Walk the Line 15/1
All the King’s Men 20/1
Elizabethtown 25/1
Yeah, I heard Elizabethtown was a GIGANTIC dissapointment.
And oscarwatch.com (who waits until a film has debuted somewhere, thus films that no one has seen are not on their list) lists the contenders in this order:
A History of Violence
Brokeback Mountain
The Constant Gardener
Cinderella Man
Crash

But it has Paula Deen! It can't be bad!
I love Paula's Home Cookin.
Have any of you read the short story from which this movie is derived? I'm trying to decide if I want to read it or wait for the film...
I say wait for the film.
I've read the story. I liked it a lot, but it will give away some things in the movie obviously.

The anticipation I have for this film and Capote is setting my lungs on fire....
Anyone else agree that this is going to be the best fall movie seasons in years?
