Yes, in an ironic twist of fate, Brooke's baby GRIER HAMMOND SHIELDS HENCHY was born on the same day as Tom Cruise's baby.

1. Grier... So she's more Gri than some other kid?

2. Grier rhymes with Queer, Fear, and Smear. Can't be good.

3. Hammond? Like "I'd like Hammond eggs, please."

4. Does anyone else see a Dr. Seuss title? "Grier Eggs and Hammond"

I actually like the name Suri better than Grier.

eta: So is it pronounced as if it rhymes with "Smear" or "Dryer?"

So Suri was 7 lbs 7oz and 20in and Grier was born 7lbs and 20in.

Oh, wow, it's a GIRL named Grier? A boy is one thing- it's sounds kind of butlerish- but a girl? Yikes.

I want to name my kids the most normal names on the planet. Just to be different.

I'm pretty sure it rhymes with "smear" as opposed to "crier", but I could be wrong. I once met someone named "Greer", so that's why I think it's the former.

I think Brooke Shields is glad to have less publicity about the birth of her child. She doesn't do deal with all the press sitting outside of her house waiting for her to make a statement.
I think that you'd want to celebrate the birth of your child with your family, not the press.

I hope Grier throws up all over Tom Cruise. - Now THAT was GREAT!!!
