Because that would be (in a way) a "Pro-Gay" stance for schools to take and that would never fly in America.

Anti bullying programs go on in nearly every state. But you cannot FORCE a student not to hate, you can only adhere to the rules that have been written down.

Kids DON'T learn from others getting in trouble. They don't think they will get caught, or they beleive they aren't actually bullying (and that now has a LEGAL definition) or that they have a 'really good reason'.

There are plenty of teacher that do lots of things and then get shut down by either the school's admin and/or the district's.

We recently had a student suspended for drug use. He was allowed to come back nearly two weeks early due to some ridiculous loophole in the student handbook. A HANDBOOK. Will the handbook be changed for next year? Probably. But as long as you have lawyers looking for all those little tiny things and getting involved where they don't belong -- its not going to change anytime soon.

Funny thing: you all want the individual's name so that you can bully him about the bullying he's done. An eye for an eye seldom works. (I'm not condoning his behavior -- I sent an email to the principal and the supertintendant the very first day I heard about this case, but I will continue to act as an adult.)
