Bully Problems- Advice Please

Hey guys. Me again. I know you all are probably really REALLY sick of hearing about my problems, but this one is getting serious and dangerous, so, if i may ask, could you guys could just help me out again?

So there is this girl who i used to consider a friend, but now she went totally A-wall and won't leave me alone. I didn't even do anything to her. All of sudden she just IMs me a few days ago and just starts dissing me and telling me everything that's wrong with me. She called me a bunch of hurtful names that are inappropriate to say on this board, as well as desperate, ugly, and selfish. I have no clue what i did. I never harmed this girl in any way, and yet she just goes and haras.ses me like that! This has been going on for the past 5 days and she just keeps IMing me even if I ignore her. She's made up these pointless rumors about me that are so untrue. When I try to act impfastive to the situation and everything she says, she just keep persisting. She told me that all of the people I considered friends feel the same way and think that i should fall off the face of the earth. Then she threatened to come to my house and do it for me, and she was serious.

This has made me feel so worthless and lousy. I'm absolutely terrified. I don't know what to think, and what to believe or not to believe. I don't even know what to do! Can someone please help? I just want her to leave me alone.

thanks a bunch.

Ponine, you're a sweet girl and I'm very sorry anyone has ever been able to convince you otherwise. Get away from these girls. Now. Talk to your parents and tell them what they do, and then you really need to find some other friends. You're far from awful. If she threatened you, talk to the school. Go to your guidance counselor and explain- this can be stopped.

Good luck, chica.

Poni, you shouldn't have to go through this, you're a great girl. But first off, block this kid so she can't IM you. Then, like nia said, you need to get help with this. Tell your parents, and try to get someone to help you deal with it in school, since I take it you go to school together. Teachers and counselors are equipped to deal with this sort of thing, and they can help you a lot, because you need to be kept safe.

Much love, and good luck.

I would say confront her about it. People never really go to that first, but I always think that if you ignore someone, it'll only make you feel worse that you didn't really do anything about it.

If you're sort of a shy person, just keep denying everything that's not true.

Good luck, lady! Don't let people like her get to you.

thanks guys. i did tell my school the other day, and they've done nothing to stop it. they were like "school's almost over. you won't see her again. just deal with it until this friday." ugh. yeah i love my school *rolls eyes*. when i deny everything, she just shoves it in my face and is like "see! you never admit when you're wrong!"...blah, blah, blah.

anyway...thanks for the help. i really appreciate it. *hugs*

That's very crappy. I'm sorry.

Cut yourself off from all contact with her. Don't talk on the phone, block her on AIM. Tell your parents. Find new friends that are REAL friends.

ponine24601- This girl sounds like a real nut case. No one should have to go though this. Bullies are spineless. Remember, what goes around comes around. I'm a firm believer in that. Read my first quote and hang in there!

re: Bully Problems- Advice Please

Just as others have said, you don't deserve this, nor should you tolerate it. I have friends who have experienced the same thing. Just stay away from this girl, and talk to an adult that you trust (parent, guidance counselor, etc.). Also, now is the perfect time to confide in friends, as well as relatives that are around your age. Build up your self-esteem. And if (for some reason) this girl is intent on destroying you, tell her to go f*ck off.

Don't forget... as Alicia Keys once said: "What goes around, comes around. What goes up must come down. And it's karma, baby." And it's a bitch.

If someone has threatened you always print out the threat. Save your proof. Go to your parents and tell them you are concerned.
Stress that you would like to get law enforcement involved. Perhaps the twit thinks she playing a game, perhaps she serious. There's no way to know for certain until others are notified and investigate. No matter what...she needs a dose of reality. You, your parents need to establish a record in the event you want to pursue any civil or criminal prosecution.

Forget about any short term ramifications and think of the long term benefit to you and anyone else she may want to target in the future.
Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

And as you take action towards stopping her, keep reminding yourself that you are amazing and worth so much more than all this crap. Her picking on you isn't about you; it's about her need to exert that power of making people feel badly about themselves, for whatever reason. I'm sorry you're going through this, and it WILL end, I promise. We love you!

It should go without saying that if someone feels the need to mock you in the most absurd ways (looks, weight, etc.) that just means that they are not capable of having an adult conversation. You're the better person.

re: Bully Problems- Advice Please

im learning about situations like this in my health class. losers who feel the need to make the more mature of the group feel like **** just so that they can make their spineless selves feel better about themselves. if i were able to, id snap her neck like a glowstick (dont worry, im kidding). i have to second what everybody is saying, print out the conversations, that way you have proof so if she denies anything you can be like, well ive got proof. people like these will deny, deny, deny. but this way they have no possible way of denying this. go to your counselor and tell them yet again. have your parents call the school. the counselor is not doing their job if they just say that they only have a few days left then they fail at life and should consider a new career if they do not dedicate themselves completely to their job. this is what they're paid for, don't be afraid to go to the office again, if you piss them off then they are obvious assholes who don't know how to do their job. but it is their job to help you, and if they arent doing that then you should also make it a point to tell somebody higher up about the fact that they aren't helping you. i hope that this somewhat helps and please keep us posted.

re: Bully Problems- Advice Please

she's right. they all hate you and have been doing nothing but talking about you behind your back for the last several weeks. in fact, there's a plan underway to get pictures of you in a compromising situation and post them everywhere that you're known to frequent on the internet. you can trust no one. this conspiracy is bigger than you could possibly imagine and goes straight to the top.

the best thing to do is to leave town in the middle of the night and hitchhike across the country. then change your name and make contact with the underground immigration movement and establish yourself with a phony social security number. the important thing here is to cut any and all ties to your current residence and anyone who knows you. that means friends (who are all actually your enemies, but that's besides the point), family (most of them are in on it too, you never really trusted your mother, did you?) and most of all, bww. no more posting, even under a new identity because if they get a whiff of you, man the jig is up and you'll be disappeared to gitmo faster than you can say downing street.

oh sure, you think i'm making fun of you, but can you afford to take the chance? whatever you do, don't let anyone see you packing and don't hang artound too long after reading this because once they see that you've been warned you'll be in incredible danger. i know, i porbably shouldn't have posted this and should rather have pm'd you, but it wouldn't really matter. jose's in their back pocket, or in their boxers, one of the two, and has been using his position as a moderator to inform on you to the powers that be.

you have to run now. i know it'll be hard, but every morning you wake up alive, you'll thank me for the advice. now go!!!!

My two cents is this: Always take the high road. If you maintain your case with class and dignity, it will make this bully look that much more irrational and ridiculous by comparison.

Rose and Etoile make great sense. Do find an adult you trust and confide in them, and don't be afraid to involve law enforcement if you're being stalked or harrassed with threats. All of these things are illegal, and this girl needs a serious reality check. You're a good, sensitive person, hon. Don't let others tell you different.

re: Bully Problems- Advice Please

In the beginning of the school year, there was this girl who kept shoving me. She harrassed me last year too. I told my guidance counseler and it eventually stopped. During my play she and a bunch of her stupid friends harrassed me and some people on stage when we were acting in a musical. They kept calling out some peoples names and tried to throw something at an actor on stage. Talk about no respect. The performance was a scholarship benefit performance for a student who recently died. The students were only suspended for 2 or 3 days unfortunately. It should have been more though. End rant. Anyway, my advice is tell your guidance counseler. If you're getting out of school soon, tell your guidance counseler and say you'll see them on the first day of school or something.

re: Bully Problems- Advice Please

My first question would be: Has she ever exhibited this kind of behavior towards anyone else? If so, then her behavior would not be a surprise, just the fact that she's targeting you. If not, then she is either:

A - Insecure and wants to boost her ego by making someone else feel inferior.

B - Trying to impress someone.

C - Both.

I agree that you should share this with your parents. I had a similar situation in high school and the school refused to get involved. It escalated into vandalism of my house and my car, yet the guy would never say anything to my face (but I knew who it was). When the vandalism began occurring, we reported it to the police and we told them who we suspected. About a month later, the police caught him and his friends vandalizing another house and he confess to 15 counts of vandalism and had a previous record in another city. Because he was 17, he went to jail. I never heard from him or his friends again. Those kinds of threats and abuse are illegal. If you receive any threatening IMs or email, save them and print them. Check to see if you have an archive of your IMs (I save mine) and print them out. I would mail them to her parents and sit back and watch the sh*t hit the fan.

re: Bully Problems- Advice Please

Well I say if this problem persists over the next few days you MUST tell someone. If the problems escalate and it persists then that is what I've heard people call cyber stalking and needs to be dealt with immediately. It is important that you tell your parents or someone you trust so that the situation can be dealt with in an appropriate manner and so that it doesn't get any worse. So I say see what happens. If it continues for 3 more days tell someone. I've heard of kids switching schools and other things in order to get away from the person, but if it continues I strongly recommend telling someone.
