harry reid suggested her. gonna be hard for democrats to fight their own suggestion. people have been screaming that the president doesn't consult with the opposition and here he clearly did. the loudest cries against her have come not from the religious right, but from pundits and talking heads.
with regard to experience, noted right wing war mongering corruption magnate chuck schumer said on monday in a press conference, "when i choose judges in new york, i look for practical experience. and so the fact that she hasn't been a judge before, to me is actually a positive, not a negative."
putting on my gop hat, harry has to be saying to himself, "i can't believe he actually did it."
