Totally left out crackers. I eat crackers just about everyday. (I have to eat something with my horse-pill vitamins and so forth, so I keep crackers on hand at all times.)
These are my FAVORITE crackers:
Or perhaps I should say "favourite."

Posted: 11/23/08 at 11:52pmOmg, I've been so carb crazy lately. It's funny because a few years ago I stopped eating rice and pasta and avoided bread as much as possible, and now...I can't go a day without carbs. Mm...I can't believe I was ever tired of rice >.<

Getting back to cannoli's, I have to make my own because they are very hard to find where I live and the price is just ridiculous when you do find them.
My grandmother wouldn't approve but I use won ton skins for the cannoli shells and they are just as delicious as the made from scratch shells. It saves so much time.

Radiana - what a great way to make cannolis.
Miss P - I can't wait to try your risotto recipe. It sounds delicious!

CP, drop that silly diet and join the world of the living! Besides, it's hibernation time!
I'm having some BWWers over for dinner during the holidays. We're making that risotto dish just so you all can hear from someone else how mmmmmm it is.

Yeah, my mom's favorite food is pasta, and she went on Atkins' Diet. That was not a fun week

Just spoke to my significant other about a question someone PMed me about the Risotto recipe. He told me that this recipe was created by his Italian relatives IN Italy, and it is a "closely guarded family secret." (Oh, brother!)
So he "asked" that I remove it from public display and that I share it discreetly. (Oh, brother!)
So if you did not have a chance to print it out and you really, really want it, I am happy to send it via PM. Just let me know.
(Actually, I think a few people on the board have had this at my house already.)

I could really go for some nice warm French bread right about now.
All this talk of cannoli is making me hungry. I haven't had one since we last visited NY. I think it's time for another trip... :)

You know, the problem hasn't really been with the carbs themselves. The problem, as identified by many credible dietitians, is in the combimation of carbs and proteins - your body processes them differently.
Mock anyone you want, but a balanced approach to your body's intake will allow you to experience almost anything you want - without going overboard in any particular direction.
