Posted: 9/13/06 at 3:39pmDoes anyone in the tristate area whose watched Mr. Champion (that name!) for all these years really believe "...he's just waiting for the right girl." Even Dame Edna used him in her show. Her old show. This is not like, say, Kevin Spacey, where grand schemes have been put in place to suggest heterosexuality. I think a public figure who's spotted often in gay watering holes is out, whether they give an interview on the subject or not. Surely being out isn't about announcements; it's about living openly and honestly.
